With the departure of Te'o and the god awful form of Gillett and Thaiday for a lot of last season I can see some value in having a guy in the back row rotation that you know exactly what you will get from them.

How could you have a problem with this? You seem to have a problem with everything

Sadly theres no pleasing some people especially those who whinged about the club not signing NRL players and signing only Queensland Cup players for next season, then turn around and whinge when they do sign NRL players, both good pickups for what we would have got them for.

i for one will feel alot better when stagg runs on after 25 mins in the 16 or 17 instead of lui/dodds/whatever other nuffie is going at the time.

if the other young guys want a spot in the 17 well they can earn it too

I like Stagg but I just don't understand what the club is doing.

Our main problems last year was we didn't have an experienced, creative half and whenever our front row rotated we fell to s***. So the club sign prince and stagg for bargain prices, which to me shows theyknow exactly what they are doing

Ehhhhhh....

Stagg is a decent player who can be handy if he's a depth signing. However, this doesn't appear to be the case and suddenly it just feels like he's taking up space. I've already made this opinion clear but I don't believe we need another backrow on the bench & there's no way he's better than our starting pair for him to get a look in.

With that said, I know he's going to give 100% each time and I always had a soft spot for Staggy.

wow, what a shit signing. one of the worst players to ever pull on a broncos jersey. it was a brilliant day the day he left but as i said in another thread, we have a habit of getting players back after they spend their best years elsewhere

Oh he's plenty crap enough now, Furner just has the taste of a former BHQ member.

With that said, I don't think the habit is as strong as you're letting on Mr. Queenslander sir.

Maybe a list would be able to persuade?

Depth!

Stagg was returning to Brisbane regardless and would have retired or been back at reddy had the club not signed him. Prince was a cheap opportunistic signing that boosts our experience and options in the halves. Neither would be in the clubs long term plans which they maintain is focused on development from within.

Stagg will make the tackles that Gillett just gives up on.

He was a he'll of a worker, who you could rely on week in week out.

Not a bad signing. Very handy player to cover the loss of Teo and is versatile and can take positions in the backs if someone gets injured. Welcome back Staggy.
