Would've won the first game if Joey was on target with the boot and if Langer wasn't awesome and if Daley didn't stuff up a grubber in the ingoal. 24-23 full time score. The biggest winning margin was the Blues 16 in the second game.
I will admit though I've only watched the 2nd game of that series but I'm feeling motivated to. I've got no emotional attach to those games so I would be happy to watch them.

How would you know? Joey admitted to take MDMA and 'other illicit substances' that could mean basically anything so either way, you couldn't say for sure.
Trying to compare O'Davis who played all of one game on the wing when NSW had both MacDougall, Johns & Howe in their team is just stupid.
And none of that is really relevant to what's been happening the past few years either - where the man who captains your state is a proven drug cheat.

Yes...a whole one point more than the Maroon's 15-point winning margin in the decider. I see your point, though. After a losing series you look for the 'little' victories.

I just finished watching the first game from 1998. Thanks to this thread and the Australian cricket team's collapse I was motivated to watch it. I still believe that the Blues could've easily won the game if Johns had brought his kicking boots with him and if the Blues didn't fumble Langer grubber kicks in the in goal that gifted QLD 2 tries. I'm not going to take anything whatsoever off the Maroons who showed tremendous character and belief to win when it all looked lost. Despite the Blues loss that was a wonderful and enjoyable game that I got great pleasure out of watching and would recommend it to anyone.
