Round 2 Discussion

Badger can't do anything right.

He just impeded JT (one of) the best players in the game.

Am I the only Broncos fan who's broken hearted to see Granville elsewhere? I still think him and Baptiste are gun...yet most coaches don't tend to agree.

Damn not much the Cowboys could do there.

Great skills from Snowden, Scott and Mullen to set that up.

Uate still had plenty to do to score.

Game on!

How did they stop Taumalolo that close to the line?!

That mistake from Sione is the only reason why I'd keep Kidley at fullback for the time being. It's too much of a responsibility for a youngster.

Matai'utia really set the tone for that set and everyone just fed off of it.

Weak defence from the Cowboys up the middle.

There is no one I hate more than Beau Scott i'd love someone to put him on his arse

That'd be letting him off lightly. He's supposed to be an "enforcer", but there's nothing tough about dog shots. What he deserves really is for someone to do what he does every game, elbows to face, late shots to the ribs, whatever, but causing a lifelong niggle. There aren't many people I'd wish to have rib cartilage damage that makes them cry every time they breathe, for the rest of their life, but Beau Scott is one of them.

The Cowboys really need better edge backrows.

Also, they need to stop deferring to Michael Morgan so often. He's your Karmichael Hunt, keep him in that role and only in that role.

Cooper is one of the best, especially running off Thurston, but he's had to move to centre to cover for O'Neill.

He's the best they've got but they need better.

Outside of throwing Taumalolo out there on a few occasions, maybe Tanginoa is the answer.

Cowboys are killing my tips.

Fair effort from the Knights, their goal line defence is very resillient and they've yet to concede any soft ones.

For **** sake, ruined my perfect round, Cowboys suck.

Newcastle have a pretty good side. The Cowboys should be able to take them but they were terrible. Rick Stone needs to bite the bullet and get Sione in the starting line up. He either drops McManus for him or moves Gidley to the bench.

Inspired win by Manly, they looked 'on' from the get go and really got on a roll after that magnificent inside pass by DCE.

Melbourne deserve to feel a little hard done by, but I wouldn't call it a full on rort. The decision not to refer the Tonumaipea 'knock-on' was odd but live I thought Maxwell made the right call and I needed to get a better look at it then what Fox gave us before I can really call it a bad decision.

They were all on show tonight - mediocre execution, poor discipline, blown opportunities...but stuff they can certainly work on. What I like about Melbourne as a team is that you just know they're always a good chance of digging in until the final minute and they just about stole the game. I think they'll bounce back next week when they face off against Cronulla but wouldn't be surprised to see Bellamy make a few changes to his line-up later on down the track to get the mixture right.

Good assessment of Melbourne's performance BP, so many passes inside the attacking 20 when they were working a set play were behind the receiver. It was very unstormlike.

As far as the refs are concerned you have to wonder how these guys get it so wrong sometimes.

Not even bothering to check the touch between Blair and Tonumaipea when that is exactly the type of call you should be clarifying.

The double movement call was just wrong, Glasby was clearly rolled over the line by Stewart

(c) a tackled player’s momentum carries him into theopponents’ in-goal where he grounds the balleven if the ball has first touched the ground in thefield of play but provided that when the ballcrosses the goal line the player is not in touch ortouch in-goal or on or over the dead ball line.

The first call on Greens second try as no try when Maxwell was standing on top of it. Whilst the initial call was corrected it is hard to see how he got it wrong and I was wondering if he was doing all he could to strop Melb form winning.

On anther note, (not sure if it's been mentioned) I hope Ennis gets a week like Sam did for touching the ref on Friday night. It was easily the equal of Thaidays contact.

Checking the kick off time for today's game, I see it's 3PM ... Does this mean Channel 9 are playing this delayed but pretending to be live again?
