Also, I'd like to give kudos to the refs for not using the video referee for every single fucking try.

I only saw the 12-minute highlights reel, could someone please enlighten me about Blake Austin's Gallen-esque behaviour? It sounds to me like he was trying too hard when he had his hands on the ball and complained to the ref when something didn't go the Raiders' way.

The Raiders were simply outclassed by a better team who exposed their weakness. All the top sides are just that largely because they expose and capitalize on the opposition's flaws.

Stuart blames everyone and everything for his own shortcomings as a coach

It was on one of our players, but this was still pretty gnarly:

That was a great hit. But to Mooses credit, he got up, led the chase and made the tackle on the ball receiver.

That was probably Jordy's worst game this year. It looked like he tried to force a big play (top ons, flick passes) every time he got the ball which resulted in a lot of errors.

Raiders are facing a fine for what happened after the game.

Stuart walking out of the press conference and the media were not allowed to interview the players afterwards.

LOL

For a team that is a work in progress, to me it looks like lots of things are coming together, some small, some big, and errors will begin to decline as the team continues to play more and more like one with our spine gelling better with each match, Hunt and Milford controlling the middle and edges and getting the ball out more and more.

Those sort of errors I see as learning to deal with our increase in speed and ball movement.

Great win. 6 origin players backing up , and the rest of the team on the shortest turnaround possible. Showed so real mental toughness. Something that has been in short supply in recent years.Oates made 96m? I think 85 of them were with three raiders on his back.
Blake Austin is now a contender for fuckwit of the NRL . His bong puncher beard just adds to the narrative. Who was the fuckwit who kept yelling "forward"? had me worried on a few occasions. I think it might have been Austin.

I don't think he's been playing well though, stats would indicate he is, but there is no stat for tries fucked up is there?
There's also no stat for holding the ball when it was the better option either. Like a lot of things with the team this year, I think he's starting to find his groove and has been passing to his winger more often and at better times the last couple weeks. If he and Milford are becoming a good combination then he has to be given some credit for that.

Which is hilarious. Because he obviously wanted to bag the refs, but walked out so he wouldn't be fined for doing so.

Reed's improvement correlates with Milford's increased ball and confidence both have played their best two games the last two weeks. They're combining well.

Definitely. Jordan hasn't played a heap of first grade in the centres and seeing as he was filling in for Hodgo he probably went out there wanting to sure up the position post hodges but I think he tried to be too flashy.

Do you guys think copley would be crushing even more then reed if he was outside milf? Fair bit quicker and better passing game then reed?

Also Ricky is all butthurt because milf tore them a new asshole.

Peaceout

Question for bushie if he is reading the thread, what is the story with canberra's edge defence? I have only watched a few of their games this year, why hasn't Stuart done something to address that issue?

Sorry. I couldn't resist.

1. Because he can't.

2. Because he needs a reason to blame the refs.

After watching some of the game again this morning, I'm confused. Is Ricky cranky over the "forward passes" (just because the punters call em doesn't make em forward), the ruck penalties (I said it during the game, their laying all over the ruck was atrocious particularly Fensom) or was it something else?

Probably that some of the penalties for both teams were pretty soft.
