ive just had a thought about the other wing and who is going to play there, is antonio wintersetin eligible to play for queensland?

He's from New Zealand so I'm thinking not.

Regardless, there's a significantly better wing option in his own team.

Yeah, he is eligible. But I'm pretty sure he has to change his allegiance back to Australia.

Moved to QLD in his early years and played his junior footy at Brothers and attended Marsden High School.

Less a prediction and more a preference

1. Boyd
2. Oates
3. Morgan
4. Inglis
5. Feldt
6. JT
7. Cronk
8. Scott
9. Smith
10.Myles (who has to improve a lot)
11. Gillett
12. Lowe
13. Parker

14. Shillington
15. Lillyman
16. Pappali
17. Thaiday (Only in the front row - keep away from the back row)

I like this except I'd have McGuire in front of Shillington, Lillyman and Myles. However, Lillyman was great game three last year so he stays, Myles has always been good for Qld so McGuire in for Shillo despite the fact Shillo was great a few years back.

I do think Shillington is a forgotten man from the period of dominance, and he's been good for the Titans, but there are too many good young players that can't be ignored.

I'm glad someone mentioned him though.

Oh Shit! I forgot Josh! Mea culpa.

Moose in, Thaiday out :tape:

I really like Sam but lately, he has done very little for mine. On the other hand, if he starts passing the ball a lot more, and defending like he did v Roosters in THAT game, I'll change my tune and it would be between him and Shillo.

Like Napa. His performance the other day was just stunning. One of the best prop plays I have seen in a long long time

Need to see how he responds now he has a target on his back. Remember Klemmer last year got all the hype and totally caved in game 3. Everyone's going to go looking for Napa now, interesting to see if he can handle it.

What impressed me was his reading of the play and his technique. All class

Why put Myles in the second row?

Why put Myles in the second row?

I'm pretty sure he has played a fair bit of second row for QLD and he always does a good job in the maroon.

The other option is to start Thaiday and have Myles come off the bench ... but i think it is better for us if we have Thaidays impact off the bench

I don't think Myles ever played on the edge for QLD. Always been in the middle. I can't even remember him playing on the edge at club level.

Yeah Nate definitely needs to be in the middle I think, he's too slow to play on the edges, he'd get eaten alive by someone like Wade Graham or Bryce Cartwright if they pick either.

I think Thaiday is in the same boat at his current weight also, massive risk playing him on an edge. I think we should just play it safe and go with something like..

8. Scott
9. Smith
10. Myles
11. Guerra
12. Gillett
13. Parker

14. Morgan
15. Papalii
16. Thaiday
17. McGuire

You either start Myles at prop or don't have him in your side. He offers nothing from the bench. His main goal is take the brunt of the ruck punishment in the opening exchanges and tackle his ass off. You need some metre eaters coming off the bench (which he is not) for when the forwards start to tire. But if things go awry, his spot in the team would be under the most focus.

Guerra also needs to pull his finger, he has been pretty awful for the chooks this season!

I would put this down to mainly not having a reliable half feeding him the ball.

I think it's also partially because he thinks he's more than he actually is. Just needs to run holes well and pick up metres.

He is one of their senior players and he hasn't been doing his job. He should be going better than what he is.

Some of it may be due to that, but he's been missing tackles, dropping balls and making too many errors for such a seasoned player.
