RUMOUR: Eels interested in Hunt

Whilst I like the stats you have provided, they don't paint the whole picture. Without Hunt as halfback, Gillett had the highest amount of errors in the team for those years. Gillett was scoring a lot of those tries from trying to do it all himself. What doesn't help his cause these days is the fact they go out the back all the time for the sweep player (even Thaiday & Glenn struggle too). Sometimes we do need to straighten the attack before we go wide. That and Gillett needs to start running decent lines that we know he is capable of doing.
Defensive errors mostly though, albeit guilty of a few forced offloads too.

He did run those lines, and was actually put into holes... it wasn't just him trying to do everything, but yeah, he was very good at finishing half chances, which he now does not get.

Thaiday/Glenn get much more ball from Milford than Gillett from Hunt. Hunt's passing to his right has always been a problem, even in the U20's.

@broncos4life, is that answer good for you too?

Yes, thanks gorgeous.

Kieran Foran says he will end his relationship with Eddie Hayson – but only when the NRL tells him to

Hunt chasing Eels

The whisper about Brisbane halfback Ben Hunt and Parramatta is getting stronger and stronger.

It was reported in Queensland earlier this month the interest was coming from the Eels, but that's not so. Other way around. Naughty, Queensland media.

Hunt's father, Geoff, played for the Eels in the 1970s and has always wanted his young fella to wear the blue and gold. We'll see.

On the flipside, we keep hearing the Broncos are prepared to throw huge coin – $500,000 no less – at Parramatta cult winger Semi Radradra, who is being circled by several rival managers attempting to cut the deal.

Would be very surprised if Hunt left considering the club allowed Taylor and Jayden Nikorima to go.

The current spine is good enough to win a comp. Almost bloody did..

Next year is big for Hunt though, really needs to start taking more control. Watch Cronk over and over, especially kicking-wise.

Oi, you should pop your head in more often!

When was the last time a legitimate swap actually happened between two clubs?

Chuck Kahu into 5/8 and put Milford into Halfback?? Thoughts?

Well Nikorimia is technically an incumbent half for NZ (you'll hear that line trotted out by Broncs haters in relation to our cap if he suddenly comes good at half). If he can just drill his long kicking game in the off season I'd argue that we gain more with Semi in the side than we do Hunt: the bloke is a freak of nature athlete.

Well if you throw in Wayne's recent interest in Cody Walker (and apparently Lolahea) for mine it does point to the fact he is looking for options in the halves.

Milford is the xfactor so you keep him, Niko to halfback, does make sense.

Where there is smoke there is usually fire.

I'm all for thinking about replacements for Hunt, but Nikorima is currently not even an option, his kicking game is not even CLOSE to what we need from a halfback, we'd be replacing a below average kicker with a below average kicker, and thus defeat the purpose of replacing him.
