Hunt and Milf don't play like traditional halfback or 5/8s ATM. Both sit on the right and the left and organise that part of the field in attack from what I can see.

whether hes a good singing or not is irrelevant we are all forgetting the major benefit of this. We will once again become other fans most hated team. The tears are Delicious and all it means is that we are once again a feared team.

i hated how other fans felt sorry for us during the hook and griffin years. broncos should always be loved by there fans and hated by all others not pittied on

Im excited..i think he'll play lock and if it works out well it will not only be great for us but will start the footy revolution that sees footballers return v over robots. Many call bennet a fossil and i think he's going back to the future here. Bird will be a ball playing lock alla wally and matterson. This will give us a spine of five... hooker lock half 5/8 and fullback. That means on either side of the ruck in attack we could see an old school back line. ..
First receiver (half or 5 8)
Second receive (lock or fullback )
Inside centre (second row)
Outside centre (current centre)
Wing
Emphasis will return to skillful locks over the robots that wayne pearce proto typed. Further reduction in inter change is still due as well which will help the revilution. Benny the genius.

I think it's funny that the Courier Mail have two articles contradicting each other.

1 article has him at $2.1 million over 3 years and the other at $4 million over 4 years.

Just goes to show the professionalism of sports writers in this country....

The 700k article is from The Courier Mail, the 1m article form Daily Telegraph. One is the Brisbane-based, the other Sydney-based.

3rd party agreements might have put it up that high to get it over the line of the Knights offer. 700k might be just on the cap. We all know we have the best benefit of this being a 1 city team. Cowboys are similar.

I don't like this signing.

The best example we have in the NRL of two running / opportunistic halves in the NRL is the Bulldogs with Reynolds & Mbye. And their combination is completely shithouse. Both of those players would play a lot better with a controlling half beside them, in fact they've gone a whole lot better with Mbye, the more talented of the two, out.

And if no promises have been made as to his position, and he's likely to end up in the centres, does that mean Bennett thinks Roberts won't be with us long term? Can we even afford him? He'd be genuinely worth $600k on the open market, maybe more.

Pfff, Roosters are not a one city team and have no problems securing TPA's. There is reason why Sharks played without a major sponsor for a few seasons and it has nothing to do with not being a one city team.

So I just did a quick calculation, if the cap rises to $8.5 million and you have to pay a base wage of $100k. That means that your top 17 can be paid just over $450k on average. If that is the case and the cap ends up being more, that means if Bird is being paid $700k, that is actually really quite good for a rep player!
