Josh Papalii vs Matt Gillett

I feel you know what you will get from Gillo. Extremely consistent, never lets you down. I dont think Papalli is quite at that level just yet, but he is getting better and better. Much better impact than Gillett, but Gilletts overall game is ahead for me. If Papa keeps improving, i would say by the end of this season he will have overtaken him.
 
I can confirm one thing, The Prickle Sacks prefer Papalii......
 
Geez the old greenhouse is taking it personal. Even suggestions there Gillett would be on the bench in their side. Whiteheads better than him apparently.

Oh and we are well over the cap, well over and its all those evil TPAs. Evil I tell ya evil. I mean how else could we sign Jack Bird for what is it now up to, 8 mill over 4 years?
 
I think Gillett is essential to our side but Papalii is really delivering this season, just so damaging in attack. All things considered, I'd probably rate Papalii higher.

Would take him in a heart beat, hearing he's been home sick lately. Watch this space...

Would take Thaiday (even in his current incarnation) over Whitehead. People overrate Whitehead due to being a pom and not a total plodder.

He's serviceable/versatile but nothing special. Thaiday still has the capability to put a stamp on a game, yet to see Whitehead show the same.
 
How is that any different to this forum though? In that thread in particular, they had their share of biased comments and fairly well balanced ones. No different to any club I would imagine and as has been mentioned, isn't it good to feel hated again?
 
I just love how they've made a thread purely to vent their collective anger towards the Broncos. I'd have them both in my side, just depends what kind of style the team plays. Papalii is the more dominant attacker but I think Gillett is the better player overall by a tad.
 
I'd hate the RL world too if the best my team could do was attract every other teams sloppy seconds and in D Taylors case 5ths

All positive stuff for us Mitch - talk of cap rorting / dodgy tpa's means we are on the up this season . No one accused us of that in the lean griffin years.

Other muppets from other clubs on here can eat a dick for all I care. Maybe their 3rd rate sponsors can't arrange shit ...not our fault
 
Big hits are overrated.

Sure, they look good on the highlights reels but there is too much risk.

A guy flies out of the defensive line to put on a big shot, he leaves that side short on troops and risks a potential overlap.

I find people like Gillett are far more valuable.

I would rather someone that can get through 30+ tackles and be a defensive rock than someone who's focus is to put on a big hit or two.
 
Pretty sure they brought a stat up two weeks ago saying Gillo had made 26 1 on 1 tackles so was averaging 5 a game.
