THE Broncos have received a blow this morning with front rower Korbin Sims ruled out for the rest of the season.
Sims suffered an arm injury last night that Broncos’ medical officials had hoped was just a deep muscle bruise.
However scans this morning revealed a fracture in the ulna bone on the outside of his right forearm.
Sims will undergo surgery today that will include a plate being applied to the bone to stabilise the fracture.
“Unfortunately it is not good news on Korbin and the scans have found a fracture,” said Broncos’ High Performance Manager Jeremy Hickmans this morning.
“He will be operated on today and with the six-week recovery required for this injury, which effectively rules him out for the rest of the season.”
The Broncos will receive some reinforcements in the front row position for Thursday’s final-round game against the Cowboys in Townsville.
Joe Ofahengaue returns from a three-week suspension, while Tevita Pangai junior should also be right to go after missing last night’s loss to the Eels with a hamstring problem.

With those two coming back, it's not as alarming. He's got some mongrel that we will miss, but if we just tell Moose that the Cowboys were slagging off about his Mum, that should be more than enough.

This could actually be a blessing, he's not a good starting prop and we are getting Offa and TPJ back this week. We can't afford to have any more injuries though.

I reckon Sims knew he was gone for the season as soon as he did it. He busted it when we were close to their line and he ran a decoy, and got hit hard off the ball. The second blow when he ran it back off the kick-off would have fucking hurt.

He knew he only had 10 more minutes of field time this year and wanted to tough it out.

Forces one of the younger guys to start - good.

Why does Sims cop such a bad wrap on here?

Yeah simply because of the numbers. But I love him. He's not a numbers guy, he's a mindset guy. People don't run at him because he ***** them up. And when he does make one of his 5 runs for 6 metres gained each run, it's because he charges in to 5 defenders and skittles them and flails and tears and gets a quick PTB.

And he looks like @Harry Sack.

This. He provides mongrel. Just don't know why people think numbers are the be all and end all on a footy field.

Looks like the polar opposite. Locks of hair, and tall.

Body shape, yeah, it's like watching 4:3 on 16:9. But there's something there (besides the hair colour) that reminds me of them both.

I think I know what it is. If he managed to run that fast at someone so big, he would probably brake a bone too.

He'd probably also have one mixing with all those big fit men.
