What is happening at the Broncos?

What alternate universe have we entered, where Peter Wallace was ever at all useful to our side when he didn't have Darren Lockyer standing next to him??

Yeah it's bizarre. So much re-writing of history going on in here it's sickening.

What did Wallace bring to the table apart from useless fucking cross field kicks that only succeeded in giving the best winger we've unearthed in a generation a career ending injury?

He's not even a fucking halfback anymore and people think he'd go alright for us lol.

People only look at what Peter Wallace did, instead of looking at what it meant for his halves partner.

Corey Norman had a good year in 2012, why? Because Wallace was doing all of that boring crap and he could just focus on what he did best and as a result he had a pretty good season.

Lockyer had one of his best years at 5/8 in 2008, because Peter Wallace was there to take pressure off him. Bad luck with injuries cost us a premiership or two.

Wallace provided us with some qualities we could certainly use at the moment, one of those is taking pressure of his halves partner so they can just focus on what they do best which is exactly what we need. Another is a calm head under pressure, and as a result of that Wallace won us quite a few games. He provided a good short kicking game which resulted in many tries and repeat sets. He can kick field goals.. He provided us with more than what people give him credit for, things that our halves can't do.

What did Perry ever provide us? He wasn't exactly lighting the world on fire was he? But he took pressure off Locky and as a result, we won a premiership.

People are just looking at it wrong.

I don't see why it matters that he isn't playing halfback at the moment.. It's like riding a bike, you don't forget how to do it.

Wallace was great that season Locky came back from his knee injury, took the team to a fantastic start to the season.

I think B4L said it a bit tounge in check, however,
It Always makes me vomit this comment, particularly when it is recited parrot fashion, like from the beautiful ones on Fox because they think it sounds cool.

Minimum wage =55k, If that doesn't work out the poor bastard will have to get a real job, imagine that!
In Birds case a reported 4mil contract.
If they get hurt, they sue.
I earn pretty good coin and there is not enough years left for me to get anywhere near 4mill.
Approx, what is pretty good coin ? Over 100k? Over 200 k?

Wallace was shit for the broncos in my opinion and I was very happy to see him leave.

I dont think anyone is seriously suggesting Wallace, calm down people.

It’s Wallace he went to panthers and isn’t even playing in the halves.

that honestly doesn't mean shit

I'm not saying that we should be getting him back, but we need a player of his style to compliment Milf.

A player of Wallace’s caliber would be pretty useful for us now I’ll admit, price and skill set is on point.

When's his contract finish with the panthers? Would it be worth bringing him back on the cheap?

The thing that is head scratching to me is that we either (a) have no up and coming halves in the system or (b) have a coach that isn't keen on trying any out. That said, Milf/Nik had a reasonable winning percentage last year but I am not sold on either completely where they are playing. When I see other sides even with injuries seemingly just bringing young studs out of nowhere that create excitement and perform, I wonder where are these players in our system?

we have 2 very talented halves coming through in Boyd and Paix ... the problem is they are both still too young to play first grade

It says a lot about how desperate we are for a halfback when most of us would be happy just for a bog standard, functional number 7. I think we really need to have a good long look at our recruitment. We are concentrating so much on potential we have dropped the ball on senior recruitment.
