Just a question. Why would any club want to sign Wayne or any other coach to a 2 year deal?
He could struggle to get another gig.
They may want to go with the WB succession plan that our board wasn't interested in.

He knows how to win a premiership. & he obviously wants 1 more before he retires. (that's why he wants to be our coach in 2020)
Give him a club in the midst of a genuine premiership window & he could be the difference.
A club like the Panthers, or to a slightly lesser extent the Rabbits would jump at the chance.

Really ? Imagine if a battling club wanted him to set in place all that's necessary for success while mentoring a younger assistant to take over. That experience can't be grabbed off the shelf and two to three years might suit WB. Won't matter, WB will probably hang up the spurs after we win the premiership this year !

So the only club with a roster in need of a coach and acceptable to Bennett would be the Panthers.
I not sure they'd be so happy with such light tenure. They want to build a dynasty.

I think Bennett should just merge with Scott Minto and extend his career by another 30 years. I mean, isn't that why Scott Minto was created in the first place?

I was under the impression that there was at least 5 clubs needing a coach for 2020 or at least do not have a coach locked in for 20.

So I decided to see which coaches are actually un-signed for 2020

Stephen Kearney
Shane Flanagan
Dean Pay
Paul McGregor
Anthony Seibold
Brad Arthur

Out of that list, only Flanagan or Seibold are worth pursuing at all. The rest are well below average coaches IMO.

Flanagan just recently said he'd love to extend and become a 10 year coach at Cronulla, I can't see any chance of him leaving. Seibold seems to be the only (current) coach who's off contract at the right time, who also has a legitimate chance of being signed.

A CM article has Bennett saying that he could coach until 2022.
Can someone get that ?

The dust has settled a bit on the 2018 Broncos coaching narrative and all I want to say is that I am incredibly happy that parasite Bellamy didn’t end up here.

I sincerely don’t care; I don’t want the success that comes with his and his teams culture of cheating at every possible part of the game.

It's becoming increasingly obvious that the Broncos board and management don't know what they're doing.

It's amateur hour. Let's call ourselves the Brisbane Eels.

Re-sign Wayne Bennett and give him administrative power.

Let's drain the swamp and make Red Hill great again!

although if people from this forum ran the club, we would be bankrupt and winning wooden spoon after wooden spoon

I didn't see the press conference.

Is it really true that Wayne Bennett is second only to Bellamy in terms of games won since 2014?

Wow.

Yes, he's on 58% WR for since his return which is the second best win rate behind Melbourne since his return in 2015. So far this year, 13 wins from 22 games, so sitting at 59% too.

Do you think Wayne would go to a lesser roster for his final years. I think if he goes it will be to a team that has GF potential.

So what has Wayne done to not warrant a contract extension?

Apart from not winning every game 40-0. Which is what some fans expect.
