That’s true but is he going to bleed for Broncos jersey like a Hodges? For me that role is best with a Queenslander but will see.

Seibold is looking Bennettesque. Not using bench players in an exhausting game. Taking the 2 when have them on the racks. Team struggling to put them away with handling errors and missed tackles... he’s only young though first season and finals so not too concerning.

Next week against roosters just needs to show every trick in his book. Throw it around and hope it comes off cause aren’t going to win playing Bennettball next week

Is that the same Bennettball that has beaten the Roosters on close to every meeting since Bennett’s return?

He still struggles against his former clubs which I have to admit is a baffling stat.

Quite honestly, i'd give him a years extension, treat him with the respect and dignity he deserves. That way it doesnt put some of players offside with the club. I just dont see Bennett as finished yet, not by a long way

Yep same one that lost by 30 points to Hunt. Or can’t beat the Titans. Let’s not talk about the Storm...

Bennett gets his players up for big games that’s very different skill set to actually having a clever game plan.

That’s not even close to the point. You said that Souths can’t beat the Roosters if they play Bennettball, yet it has been proven that ‘Bennettball’ is incredibly successful in beating the Roosters.

Fair point. Difference is don’t think Souths have it in them mentally at this point against a very different Roosters with Cronk primed for finals football. Also not confident Souths strike weapons are firing. Bennettball of late is heavily reliant on individual brilliance usually outside the 20 and the sweep for a lot of points. Where are Souths getting their points?

Souths may have been guilty of taking the Dragons too lightly, even after we were thumped. I don't think they'll be taking the Roosters lightly.

Our points don't come from individual brilliance. They rely on the whole team building the platform and then allowing the attacking plays to unfold when in position and with the defence suitably pressured. People like to make out that Bennettball is boring and uncreative and to an extent, in isolation it is, but it is quite simply getting the tough stuff right that allows the attack to be unleashed. To that extent, very few teams don't play their own version of Bennettball. The teams that don't are generally the ones with far more creative attack but don't prioritise building the platform first, at least not as methodically. Say, like the Tigers and Warriors before this year (where they started to build better structures), but most apparent would be the Raiders. Hence why they are often so amazing to watch, but terribly erratic.

The reason we've lost the games we have, and looked poor doing it, is because we've failed at the Bennettball side of the job, and compounded the errors with low risk plays or simple brain farts due to fatigue.

Wayne's not going to be the coach in a couple of years, three years if he gets his way, so if some of these blokes feel this way about him we're going to lose them eventually anyway. Deadset, some of them need a wake up call as to how good they've got it at the Broncos. Go have a look at the facilities at a shit hole like Manly or talk to Hunt about how great it is being under the spotlight in NSW.

Oates is a great player, and has been wonderful for our club, but 800k (could very well be fake news from journos) is just absolutely bonkers for him. Just quietly, I have no idea how the Dragons are in the market for anyone.

EDIT: The GC also lol. They're going around throwing 700k+ at spuds like Boyd and Wallace, have Taylor on over a mil, have signed an overrated centre on big money in the form of Peach, and need to re-sign AJ (unless they don't care about losing him? They'll probably lose him and then have a meltdown).

Sitting here, eating my lunch, trying to think of anything funnier than the Titans splashing the cash at a bunch of numpties, and then being unable to sign AJ and having a hissy fit about it

Still can't think of anything :)

I think that Seibold has to be our new coach. Very impressed with him and he has done a superb job with the rabbits this year.

There is nothing wrong or specifically Bennettball about having a good structure and taking percentage plays more often then not. That’s just good coaching.

There are however problems with a ‘lock’ taking half your forth tackles in decent position, wasting 3 tackles inside the 20 with inane forward runs then having one sweep play then wasting the next, not having a fullback who can support big forwards that can offload, having no threat from dummy half so the first receiver gets hammered when he eventually gets the balls, constantly attacking the side opposite to the guy who has ‘more speed than Oxford St’, not playing guys on the bench when team is fatigued, having your million dollar running 5/8 too worried about calling the play to bother to run most games and when he does run he slows down for another bloke, putting a fullback in the line so it’s open season when he can’t be bothered to hobble back to cover the kick exposing outside backs who are in 2 minds about covering a kick, playing running forwards instead of the promising replacement hooker, not cross kicking to the 2 metre tall giant on your wing (who might have dodgy hands but only needs to get it right one out of 2), playing a guy in the centres who can barely stay on the field and can’t tackle as a centre and so forth. Run out of steam at this point. But can continue if haven’t made the point. Maybe I have no idea what I’m talking about but if even 1/5 if this is half true is pretty concerning?

Well done 6.
Anyone who can’t relate to this hasn’t watched them play.

Does anyone know when the Broncos are going to decide/announce if Bennett will be extended to 2020?
