Broncos Player Movement and Rumours 2020

I realize that and even I have done it in the past but the Caboolture/D Bay/Morayfield/Burpengary pocket is much worse than anything in Logan and real estate prices back up my claim. Anyways, getting back to the topic, Lindsay is a good kid. He has got to the top the hard way by not making any rep teams as a junior and he was usually the kid that came off the field crying because it was too rough for him. He hit his straps at age 16 and he hasn't looked back since. Shocking haircut but a player with a bright future in the game.

So true, coming from someone who grew up in the heart of Logan. I get fucking pissed when Northsiders call me a bogan, seriously deflecting much . Just cause it ryhmes doesn't make it true dipshits

i didn't know your suburb of "buttfuck nowhere" was part of Logan ... who would've known :P

Yeah. Used to be Logan. Then became part of Beaudesert, now we're back to Logan again. Complete with sky-high rates, even though we don't have town water or sewerage.

Maybe that's why I'm happy to dump on Logan.

Goodness, I don't want to think what your place must smell like.

I hope we're having a good look at Brandon Smith. Turpin is already here but having a Test hooker on our books chasing Macca's tail can only be a good thing.

The Storm are in danger of losing boom young hooker Brandon Smith in the wake of Cameron Smith’s decision to sign a new two-year deal with the club.

The current Kiwi Test hooker and a member of the Storm’s grand final team last year, 22-year-old Smith was prepared to bide his time and wait for his namesake to retire - assuming he would only play one more season.

But Brandon is far from happy with the veteran hooker’s decision to play until the end of 2020 and is looking around for a better opportunity.

Several clubs are on the lookout for a class hooker for 2019, notably Parramatta, where Smith would be a great fit.

Surely if we were to sign Smith, we would offload Macca.

Typical league 'journalism', not one quote.

CSmith is doing exactly what JT did-going a year too long which will tarnish his legacy(again). Hopefully he spends his last season or 2 in the bottom 4 as well, proving once and for all that Lockyer was always the true RL God.

He re-signed middle of last year until the end of 2022. So I highly doubt the Storm are going to release their 9 back up when the starting hooker is mid 30's and he has a role off the bench.

He also knew that Smith could keep playing for a while in June when he signed his deal.

"If Cam plays on for another four years, then I'm learning for another four years. I'm not too fussed at all. If I get some opportunities to start through injuries, for now, I'm just sitting back and enjoying my football at the moment.
"As long as I progress into a better player and a better hooker, I'd be very excited about that."

Munster would be a good role model for Smith in this instance, he was still playing ISC in 2015 after debuting in 2012. 46 games in total it's not a bad learning environment.

George Burgess apparently approached Seibold about joining the Broncos. I’d take him over Glenn any day of the week given the assumed makeup of our side next year with only 1 front row on the bench.

Have seen this on the socials..not sure how we would be able to afford him, but I think if we land George we wouldn’t have much of a chance in retaining TPJ 2020+.

This.

If it means we run the risk of losing TPJ then i dont want a bar of it.

The only potential reality of this happening while keeping TPJ+Oates etc is if Glenn, Kahu and Boyd all leave/retire and we have the cash to afford all of the forwards. Having said that, if we signed him, that puts Mago, Carrigan, Flegler etc all back a spot and that doesn’t seem to be our aim at all

And only if George plays with glue on his hands. We’ve gotten rid of error-prone forwards, we don’t need to replace them with another

And do you think he would accept Glenn's pay packet as well? He is only using us to get more money out of souths. Every player in the comp does this to us.
