This is what the media do, they create their own stories. So now Roberts reads this, thinks Seibold has been talking shit about him behind his back, and all of a sudden the story isn't far from the truth.

It's also a case of the media saying 4 or 5 different names and if they get one right they literally live off of it for about 2 years. They actually think we are that stupid that we forget the other 50 names from "inside sources" they have said the past 2 years that they got wrong. The thing is though, there are people stupid enough that they do

Err, I said it was my opinion to which I'm sure you'd agree I'm entitled. Secondly the evidence of his failure is the abysmal performance of the team since he's been there. However, not all his efforts are obvious and some of his work has been sound. I have no doubt there was a great deal going on behind the scenes and on NRL last night or the night before it was a hot topic. From what was said Cleary wanted nothing to do with Gould and demanded he was gone before he'd come to Penrith. Whatever, I have no time for Gould. Just be satisfied that my opinion is mine and requires no support just as any others.
I believe Gould was arseholed, not wanted and his team during his tenure have done fuckall. Currently Penrith are paying three coaches, all down to Gould.

This isn't a rumour but jeez I'd like it to be... Luke thompson from St Helens. I really like the look of how he plays. I think if we lose any of our forwards we should go for him. He runs bloody hard, he's quick off the mark, late footwork, quick ptbs, no nonsense tough middle forward. He would do himself a disservice going to the bulldogs as he'd have to do the heavy lifting but with a good pack around him I could see him being amazing in the nrl. We don't need him so it'd have to be at the right price but he'd be a hell of a lot cheaper then our current off contract middles so if we lose ofa or TPJ he would be a handy pick up, would be more of what we need tbh, and still have money left over to re-sign others.

Haven't seen this guy and he could be ok but I think we need to give priority to signing someone who will help our spine as that is where our main problems are at the moment.

I can quote a couple of the parts of the comment for you...

Additionally, you do realise there are 2 parts to the game. Defence is important too. I think our forwards have been great but to say they aren't part of the problem (a problem that will be fixed by experience though) is a bit ridiculous. Our forwards aren't holding onto the ball either. This is also a problem...
Our main problem is we have half our salary cap locked in long term to spine players that are under performing. How do you propose we fix that? Release them? We lose our money, and no one will subsidise their wage on current form. Recruit highly rated young spine players? We have that but it will take time. Get some solid back up players to put pressure on them? We have that but they are either injured lately or out of form as well. So please, tell us your recruitment strategy so we can call the broncos and tell them what they haven't thought of...
We need depth and pressure for spots. It's no coincidence that the worst performing players are the ones who arent in a fight for their spot (nikorima is starting to be). If we lose another middle forward because another club pays ridiculous overs it won't be too long until they too feel 'safe' in their spots

I fully agree about players having to fight for their spots. I don't get that feeling at the moment with the Broncs. I look at Roosters and the Storm and players are ripping in as they are desperate to stay in the team.
I can always tell when our boys are switched on and keen to play; invairably they're the first to a loose ball. I'm not seeing this desperation yet this season.
Hopefully with a full starting pack for the first time and Su'a and Carrigan having to miss out we might see the penny drop tomorrow night.

One of James Roberts’ closest confidants secretly met with Wayne Bennett to express the NSW star’s desire to reunite with the supercoach at South Sydney as the replacement for Greg Inglis.
Roberts is on the outer at Brisbane, just as the Rabbitohs are considering their centre options following the premature retirement of champion back Inglis. How much they’ll have to spend will be determined next week when the NRL decides how much, if any, of the $1.5 million remaining on Inglis’ contract will need to be absorbed into Souths’ salary cap.

Bennett gave away little during his weekly pre-game press conference, claiming it was "very quiet" on the Inglis replacement front. Asked if he was looking, he only offered: "Not too hard".
Rival clubs are watching with interest to see whether the NRL will allow Souths any salary cap dispensation regarding Inglis. The Queensland and Australian superstar has been offered a job with the club after deciding he wasn’t physically or mentally capable of continuing his career. While they don’t begrudge him remaining involved in the game, several club powerbrokers want the Rabbitohs to foot the $1.5 million Inglis walked away from included in their salary cap.
News of Roberts’ desire to reunite with Bennett comes just as the seven-time premiership winner prepares to face off against Seibold next Thursday. There is no love lost between the pair following their coach swap over the summer, with the Roberts situation adding further theatre to what will already be a lively build up. The stakes are particularly high for Brisbane after a slow start, with a loss to the Rabbitohs severely denting their chances of playing finals football in their first year under Seibold.

If Roberts wants out then we just need to **** him off already but I would be pissed if the club has to pay any of his contract to play for another club.

The article has no credibility when the source is not identified and who the hell has the right to negotiate on Roberts behalf? Surely it has to conjecture which isn't to say that Robert's isn't interested in leaving.
