If we beat Souths next week and then the roosters in a few weeks time I might start to believe.

Hard to see that happening though. Teams do improve from week to week but they rarely do complete 360s. Milf's kicking game was the difference tonight as he severely exposed their vastly inexperienced members of their backline and they were able to capitalize on basic errors. The other three members of the spine didn't do anything special. Need to finish 10-7 to make the playoffs which is remotely gettable.

He’ll be approaching 150 games by then, with origin and test money propping him up. He’ll be a one club player.

Boyd definitely had his best game in a couple of years tonight. Defended much better at the back and made a couple good tackles. Could have shown more urgency on the sharks kick that lead to a try but he was definitely more involved. Attack wise, still didn't really offer much. I still don't think he's worth the money and to be competitive I do think we need another fullback. If James Roberts was to leave, put Boyd in at centre and buy a fullback.

Milford was sensational tonight. Very good defensively and his kicking game was perfect. He has been building all season and improving each game.

Nikorima, well another sub par performance from him. Several suicide balls. I believe he threw 3 or 4 passes that lead to errors and this is becoming frequent. Defensively, they also made quite a few metres down his edge.

If they aren't comfortable giving Dearden a go starting, I'd like to see him be 14. After 50 minutes put him in at 7 with nikorima going to hooker for Macca. If he goes well, keep him on for the match,if not, pull him with 10 to go. Would give him a taste of first grade and also give nikorima and Macca a bit of a kick.

Of course they would, he was a small bloke defending against a bigger bloke but he was quite solid defensively tonight making 24 tackles and only missing 1.

Sharks had a few chances down that side tonight and some of those were shut down because of him.

He didn't miss as many, but a lot of metres are still made down there. No one was bad tonight. But I do think his defence is a consistent issue, and he just doesn't bring enough in attack to offset it.

In the middle he defends better, when he gets in front of a player he's fine, it's just when they can step and run around him etc that it's an issue.

the refs deserve a massive try assist for the whole passage of play leading up to Sharks try.

after Blake Brailey makes the break, then has Boyd drive him back to where he started, one of the Sharks players pulls Boyd out of the way ... the ref repeatedly says "you can't do that" but instead actually penalising the Sharks for the foul play, they just allow the Sharks to play the ball ... WTF

then 1 or 2 tackles later the ping Fifita for being in the tackle too long.

Milford was Brilliant tonight ... in fact, i'll go as far as to say, it was his best halves game he has ever played, maybe even the best game he has played in our jersey

First half was electric and everything we’ve expected from Seibold and this team so far.
Intensity, hard running, discipline and some attacking invention and guile.
Second half we looked like a team just going through the motions knowing we already had the win locked up.
Huge room for improvement and we need to install that ruthless mentality.
But given the rut we were in, I was impressed with the attitude and performance.
Trusting that we had one eye on the Souths game next Thursday and the players took it easy in that second half to conserve some energy!

Especially after tonight, when as soon as shit was turning against them they began to grub it up hard. I wanted to reach through the TV and punch Gallen in his ugly face for the low garbage he was getting away with.

TPJ coming back in on an angle and with Milford holding the pass it sucked in Brailey and Capewell which opened the hole for Oates.
