Ponga is definitely the goal, but I think it's unrealistic for any NRL team to expect to sign him from the Knights. I'd be truly shocked if he left Newcastle for anything other than a code switch.

The issue we have ourselves in is we have a lot of money tied up with Boyd, Gillett, Bird, Macca for a number of years and none of them have been value for their recent contracts. Gillett is showing improvement, but $700k is a lot.

If some of these players are moved on, namely Boyd, and the money we should have from releasing Roberts, nikorima, McGuire, Kahu etc. We would need to hope a team releases a player or two. Some players who I would be interested in are Papenhuzen, Drinkwater, Brandon Smith, Bronson Xerri, Braiden Burns. If falou was accepted by NRL, I'd take him at the right price but really he is a centre or winger, so I wouldn't put too much on him.

Think it’s time to start including Milford in these lists, I’m not saying he’s at Boyd level but he’s cashing cheque’s he most certainly is not earning.

Agree to disagree here. Most weeks if we win, he has been a strong part of the reason. He has single handedly won us a few games, including the one against the warriors with some individual brilliance. In a team that currently has probably less X factor than just about any other team, can't go removing the guy who is 95% of it.

He just needs solid people around him. Every half struggles with a team that's not doing well. That's fact. Look at how many years the cowboys missed the 8 when with JT.

Milford has a lot of haters in here, and I believe a lot of those people are people that don't get to too many games, but if you go to the games you see how much he does on and off the ball in comparison to others in the team.

People hate him probably just because they hate millionaires......

Our middle men sure do leak meters in defence.

The team lacks heart and the desire to knuckle down and give a 100% in everything they do. It all starts with defence. You can sit here till the cows come home and say well the captain doesn’t inspire them, **** OFF inspire yourself, do it for the guy beside you and when the games over call the captain out. But **** me it speaks volumes of the types of players we’ve recruited in the last 5 years. They lack intestinal fortitude and a football brain.

I have a question, does this happen under bellyache? Is this all just the coaching? Bennett included. Or Is it the fact that they’ve never had a rocket up their ass growing up and don’t truly know the meaning of hard work? And that’s why bellyache gets the results because he is a literal culture shock and they’re too scared not to try 100%, Or is it just their scouts hold hard working higher in the scouting process?

Sorry i went on a rant. Beer and broncos not trying are a recipe for a rant.

Can’t believe we are still 1.90 to make the eight.
Wish I could get some of whatever Sportsbet are on as it would ease the pain of tonite.

What are we to not make the 8? Might have to make an account

I don’t know what it is, but something at the entire club just stinks. It needs to be rebuilt from scratch. Funnily enough, it has coincided with the Whie era. We haven’t been properly competitive for years, with the exception of 2015. We are quickly becoming the laughing stock of the comp and we are miles off the serious clubs in every respect.

Have to admit, last week's game had me raging against the Milf. Seems the more we need him to step up, the more reluctance he shows.
However .......I think the ole cliche of "your halves can't go forward if your pack isn't going forward" rings very true at the Broncos. These young forwards we have have got talent, but they are inconsistent as ****.

I was out for the game. Recorded it, watched the first 10minutes, fast forwarded to the end.
This team is shit.
I couldn’t even say where, but I don’t care.
What. The. ****. Is. This. Rubbish.
Start dropping blokes. That’s pretty much all I can say at this point. From the few short minutes I saw, isaako is one of the first to go.
Pathetic.

Seibs need to have a re-think of the gameplan. We are not doing enough will the ball coming out of trouble and its putting the young guys under all sorts of defensive pressure when we give it back to opposition.

He needs to have a good hard think about how to get these guys going forward from our end and creating a bit of space. One out hitups to the halfway then bomb isn't enough. The opposition teams are just gang tackling us.

This has been the broncos blueprint for so long it stings. 2015 was an exception. We had ball movement, offloads and even attack off the kick off.. was Walters behind all of this?

We really missed Alex Glenn tonight. Just shows how much that experience counts.

It’s a shame joe offa got injured too. After his excellent origin debut I was hoping he’d bring that energy back to the broncos.

I convinced myself that Walters wasn’t the man for the job.....but I keep going back to his playing days and 2015. He was a smart man on the field one of the best footy brains to play the game. I’m possibly re thinking it all.

He May not be head coach caliber but as an attacking assistant coach he must have some tricks up his sleeve

Forwards got rolled again.
Lacking mongrel and leadership in the team,
Pretty interesting the lack of response to that pole smokers shove on oatesy.
I thought the same thing live.

But I also hated how Oates got up looking like someone popped his balloon. Bottom lip quivering.

Grow a set mate and stand up for yourself.
