I we don’t just need a win but a bloody flogging for our for/against.

Our for and against is irrelevant because of the draw, unless it's the off-chance that we're competing exclusively with the Warriors for the 8th spot.

Was a badly broken nose yeah?
No, he did but that wasn't to which I was referring. It was in a tackle in a regular season match. It's not important but instead of following the play my eyes stayed on Gillo and then watched his following couple of tackles which by most standards were ordinary.

I'm always prepared for a shit show when it comes to referees. Could go one of two ways; she'll derp it up like the rest of them or she'll be a breath of fresh air. Happy to give her a go.
She won’t get a chance to derp it because Cummins will do a job on us again

Worst possible scenario. I now give us next to no chance we'll end up in front on the penalty count. She will do absolutely everything she can to avoid the headline ' hometown advantage gets the Broncos the win ' or some such inference or variation on that theme. In an effort to appease the nswrl, sorry nrl and to appear unbiased she will unconsciously screw us. She won't want the nickname Grasshopperess!

Cummins is the main ref and he hates us so we're no chance to win the count anyway.

Brisbane 1.37
Canterbury 3.05

I really don't like us being such strong favorites. It's bad juju for us

One of those games we should win, everyone expects us to win, the players think its already won.
Mentally the team needs to be up for this week, it wont be an easy win by any stretch. We have struggled on Thursday nights this year, and especially struggled with the games we should win well in. Massive favorites with the bookies as already pointed out spells massive danger for us.
I really do hope we at least get the W, but a big W would be great for confidence and momentum at this time of year.
Isaako is due for a good game, hopefully Milly can run a muck.
Lets hope macca only gets 25mins for his 250th game.

Macca can have a minute of play in his 250th for every line break he has ever made darting from dummy half.

I agree but what I don’t get is why didn’t the nrl give her a game like raiders v tigers where there would be no issue of any perceived bias?
They are really putting the pressure on her in her first game and it’s not necessary.

Enjoy the expectation. Would be a bastard being a Storm supporter knowing all you have to do is turn up to win all the time. Where is the thrill in that? Gotta live on the edge a bit get the real feeling of a good win. It’s the plus bit of following a young inexperienced side growing in strength and confidence - coach included. Expectation is in the eye of the beholder. I for one will be happy to see them 'turn up' and compete like the last couple of games and accept the short comings that I know will get better over time. Consistency and defence and the scoreboard will take care of itself.

I'd like to think the boys have been humbled a few too many times by "lesser" teams this year to go in with any expectations of an easy victory tomorrow. Maybe that's not the kind of lesson you can learn in the space of a season though.
