Fifita deserved a try.

Too bad he didn't score.

The Broncos were excellent in that first half. Playing with plenty of energy, offloading and moving the ball around which was causing havoc for the Titans defensive line.

The second half, not so much. They were scrappy and while they didn't put the cue in the rack, they also didn't play with the same intensity.

My guess is they were taking it a bit easy to prepare for next week.

It was a good confidence boost. They had a good win last week and had to build on that which they did.

Didn't watch the game yet, but NRL.com says Carrigan had almost 200m. He's really coming into his own too.

On Staggs first try, I thought we got very very lucky there.

There's no doubt Milford passed off the ground.

Comfortably outperforming JoeO the last couple of weeks. I'm starting to get the sense that the only mistake we've made retention wise was spending as much as we did on Joffa. He's solid, but with the current crop of elite talent we have coming through, I'm genuinely not sure if he'll even be in our top 5 forwards moving forward if Carrigan & Flegler continue their upward trajectory. He's already well behind Lodge, Haas, Fifita & Pangai Jr in the pecking order.

I said that about Joe last year and every year he has been a bronco. He offers very little. He has the occasional 'good' game, but very rarely an amazing one, and more than a handful of poor ones. It seems every time he gets the opportunity to start he lets it slip him by.

I think Joe's deal is pretty good. We signed him for about 500k, and he's a lot better than props earning more than that at other clubs, for example: Woods, Paulo, S.Boyd, Wallace, RCG, Packer, Blair, etc.
He was one of the best forwards for QLD imo, and having a bloke with Origin experience coming off the bench is pretty handy.

EDIT: and he's only 23.

Siebs singled out Carrigan for praise in he presser after being prompted by the reporter. Siebs was also extremely unhappy with the TPJ binning, said he'd be extremely disappointed if he is charged.

How on Gods earth does D Boyd think he is playing well, and virtually announcing he WILL play on next year. I have no problem with him playing so long as its in the Qcup. Please Mr Boyd bugger off and enjoy retirement making tea for daddy at the rabbits. Oh and please take AMc with you. That will give us a chance to win A premiership. While those two remain as passengers in the team it aint going to happen.

You literally picked the most overrated players in the game lol.

He's also worse than a lot of players too imo. To be fair, origin experience for QLD doesn't account for much, if anything, for a forward. We have none. If there are 2 or 3 injuries in our forwards, a bloke on here might get a run lol.

I reckon I'd make more meters than Wallace. I'd probably end up in the ER by the end of the game mind you.

The way I see it, I don't see Offa as offering 3x the value of say Rhys Kennedy or twice the value of Flegler. I think a $300k/season diference would be far more noticable if it were say, Boyd/Bird who are on approxz $700-$800k were replaced with someone like DCE for 1.1m.

That's what you need to think about with these signings. Our attack is fairly lacklustre, sure we socred some points tonight but one was an intercept, a couple were when they were a man down, and also they are coming near last...

I don't want us to walk into the trap the Cowboys have where all their money is stacked in the forwards but they can't score any points... So yeah, for me, I'd rather DCE + front rower from local pub than Boyd and Offa, or Bird and Offa.

Maybe Joffa will mature later than the rest...Haas is a freak and you can't really use him as a yardstick to measure the rest of our guys...Haas is a generational talent...

Was very impressed with Carra too......those 2nd tier forwards are looking like they will have a long and impressive career with Broncs...

Ridiculous statement. Wallace busted a gut against what you and everyone else on here agrees is a vastly superior pack. He made 160 odd metres.
You mean the same "vastly superior pack" that wasn't vastly superior when you insisted Wallace should have been picked for origin 1 this year?
He makes metres but his runs have little to no impact. It takes one person half the time and allows the defensive line to be ready for next play. He's got no footwork, his lateral defence isn't great.
I don't think he is a bad player... But, if someone read your posts about him on here in isolation they'd assume it was an atrocity that he missed Australian selection. He shouldn't have even got a look in at origin after his first attempt.
Honest question, do you have a connection to him? You defend him so much, he isn't a broncos player anymore and he has let the state down on numerous occasions. You even went on about his courage compared to people on here at some points haha

Milf is completely at home in the #1 jersey. His time in the 5/8 hasn't been without merit because it has just turned him into a more complete fullback.

Lodge offensively is great but he still needs to clean up a little but of the rubbish in defence. His penalties will cost us in big matches. Payne is a freak of nature. Nuff said. Fafita is a beast as is Staggs. Staggs has the strength and ability to really take advantage of a split second to find the try line.

Boyd took a step back and really the minute that either Dearden or SOS is fit, Daris MUST move out of the position. It doesn't take a genius to see that the best side likely has a spine of Milf in the one and NOT Andrew or Darius in the 6 and the 9.

Carrigan really busted his ass on each and every play. He goes unsung and is a wonderful team player. TPJ didn't quite show enough firepower other than almost beheading someone last night but that is always his problem isn't it? I would just like to see the same consistency turn up week in week out. Still nice to see we haven't lost a game in a month.

Your post previous to this was quite well thought out, shame you had to go and ruin your argument with such a stupid statement.

Wallace had a very good game in a pack that was dominated in nearly every aspect of the game. Even though he's an ex-broncos player most of us can still still respect that. Perhaps its time to take the chip off your shoulder?

He was awesome in the first origin game and up until then was out performing all forwards except haas and lodge. He's come back from injury and hasn't recaptured his previous form, but to call him overrated is a fucking joke. You seem to pick a target and ride them because it obviously makes you feel better about yourself, your a joke of a human.
