How was there not a penalty for roberts’ shoulder into the back of Joffa (late) when he did the one on one rake??
These refs really do have a lot to answer for.
Shit I missed this.

A shattering loss for the Broncos and right as it appeared they had snatched an unlikely top eighth berth they've had it snatched out of their hands by an understrength Souths teams. Souths went into the game with an any means necessary approach and while they stooped some incredible lows, it achieved it's goal of putting the Broncos off their game.

South Sydney will surely pay the price with Roberts and Su'A being placed on report for their late hits on Oates and Glenn respectively. I'm very curious to see Roberts gets for his fore-arm in the back of the head, I presume it will at least be a fortnight if not more.

Brisbane were just too desperate attempting to push the pass and play once too often. Outside of some individual brilliance and soft defence from the opposition, the Broncos just shot themselves in the foot far too often and didn't capitilise on their opportunities when they presented themselves.

Tells the story doesn't it?

Surely there’s more plays to try on the 4th tackle than just a hand off to haas or offa to take a nothing tackle. Even when the game is on the line they still do it. Surely there can be more creativity.

Why didn’t we attack on their middle third of the field instead went their left side all night baffles me. We hardly came to our right side & every time we did, we created a chance of scoring. Added to that, Milford gone missing all gone. Enough of the fullback experiment. Put him back at 6 & with heavy heart, put Boyd @1 for 3/4 more games & send him off for good ffs.

All night Souffs played foul play yet, they got the win. It’s a disgrace.

No idea, didn't write the names down, there were several who were adamant we were a better team with him at Fullback and that it's comfortably his best position. I'd argue the exact opposite. We should be playing Milford & O'Sullivan in the halves with Isaako (or even Niu, if he's up to it) at Fullback, park Boyd at left centre, get him as far away from the action as we can.

This is so obvious. Why people insist on thinking otherwise is beyond me

I completely agree about Milford, and this is exactly what I was saying about him a couple of weeks ago. He’s just not that good anywhere on the field. When he loses acceleration, he’ll have nothing at all.
I sort of get the feeling we've seen the best of him come and go already. Throw him back in the halves with another proper half and hopefully that will bring something out of him.

If I was a Souths supporter I’d be very happy with this win . To go to Suncorp and get a result with key players missing I’d take that . For our boys learn from this and think about next week . Can’t control what’s happened but can control the future .

Boyd and Macca, we won't be competing for a premiership while they are in the spine. They might not be horrible, but just not good enough.
Milford is just not worth the money he's getting paid. Either re-sign him on 500-600K or cut him IMO. Not many players are worth a million, and he's absolutely not one of them either.
Ofa and Gillett are just mediocre now. Don't see what Ofa has that much cheaper teenage rookies Carrigan and Flegler don't. Maybe shittier defence?

Fifita and Haas are the only real highlights. It's sad that two forwards with barely any experience are probably the best players in this side now. Not anyone in the spine, two forwards with ~20 games of experience.
100% agree on Milford. He's a quality player but I'd be offering him 500k or he can find another club. He's really not worth elite money.

Mate, we weren’t producing wins with him at 6 and Boyd skating on ice at the back. At least we’ve had a good run since he’s been back there, but sadly, that’s more about Boyd than Milf.
With sos at 7 and isaako 1 , I think he would be better. Just because we've been winning it doesn't mean he's been better at 1.

This has seemingly the opposite effect on me than most.
Now more than ever do I want us to stick with Siebs and get through an off season with cohesion to show WB and us as fans that we have what it takes. I'm not saying it's what will happen for certain, but I think it's worth the shot, and the pay-off would be monumental.

It's easy as fans to get angry with lack of results and defensive/attacking structures and blame the coach, and yes it's warranted, but let's not act like we're the warriors here. We can rally around our coach for at least two seasons to start to judge where we are.
A team of 17 individuals playing under one coach for years will take more than 6 or 7 months to adhere to a completely different environment, especially with the average IQ of your regular NRL player. A coach can say the same things day in and day out, but it's down to the team to play for eachother and while I definitely don't agree with positions and certain players even in the 17, it is what it is.

I don't see many other coaches realistically making the changes we all want to happen with our halves and certain spots, at least for the last few rounds heading into the finals causing even more change.

So yes, while we can and I know I certainly will complain about our selections, efforts, team sheets and general all round attitude, let's do the hard part and have the belief that it can be turned around.

Rant over.

I'm less concerned about the fans and more concerned about the coach who doesn't seem to have the balls, power, sense or all of the above to move Boyd the **** out of the spine and move Milford back to comfortably his best position.

He was good last year. New systems, instability in his halves partners and a seeming complete lack of a game plan has stunted his growth enormously this year.

Brilliant from the guys who will (should) form the nucleus of our side going forward: Haas, Lodge, Fifi, Staggs, Oates, SOS. We all know Macca and Boyd are passed it and were probably the reason we lost tonight, no use harping on about it.

I don't think Souths are a threat. They won't have enough against sides who will get away with slowing the shit out of the play the ball in the semis where the refs refuse to blow pens.
Sometimes we gotta harp on it man. It’s somewhat of a release of the frustrations of an entire fan base seeing something that nobody at the club is willing to act on even though they surely can’t be blind to it.

SoS needs to be thinking about plays not running the ball whenever he gets it, he is a half , running when there is a gap is good but running Everytime is stupid he is a small player he will go no where 90% of the time.
I actually like how aggressive he is with the ball in hand, I'm pretty high on SOS. I think once the guys around him get used to his play style and start running off his hip, it'll really open things up on attack

Yeah I understand, I'm over it as much as the next bloke. I've just accepted it as the way it's gotta be for this season, hopefully things change next year.

And what was up with segeyaro. He didn’t run it once. That’s what his game is and why we need him in the team but he only passed it. This was a game he should have went toe to toe with cook. Seemed like coaching taking over there.
