Queensland Cricket 2019/2020

305 to win, again 50-60 short of what I’d expect from 0/118.

300 on small suburban grounds is the minimum.

Surely after a start like that they should promote Cutting to #3 ?

Nothing to lose and potentially a massive total to gain.

Rough start to your bowling when Cutting is your most economical and he’s going for almost 5 an over

Need to get Finch out asap

Well this is over, Finch has 10 fours & 10 sixes

The Heat’s bowling has killed them the last few seasons. I dread Cutting on and bowing his length balls. Batting looks fantastic hopefully the bowlers back it up.

1. Sam Heazlett
2. AB de Villiers (Max Bryant)
3. Marnus Labuschagne (Matthew Renshaw)
4. Chris Lynn (c)
5. Joe Burns
6. Ben Cutting
7. Jimmy Peirson
8. James Pattinson
9. Mark Steketee
10. Majeeb Ur Rahman
11. Zahir Khan (Mitch Swepson / Matt Kuhneman / Josh Lalor)

That's a squad that can win the title. We actually have pretty nice batting depth this year with the emergence of Heazlett & Labuschagne. Not sure how many games we'll get Marnus for though, with the Summer test matches. I assume Khan & Ur Rahman will be our 2 Internationals until AB arrives, at which point Khan will head home.
My full strength team would be:

1 S Heazlett
2 M Bryant
3 C Lynn
4 A De Villers
5 M Labuschange
6 B Cutting
7 J Pierson
8 J Pattinson
9 M Steketee
10 M Ur Rahman
11 Z Khan

Not possible, you're only allowed 2 internationals at a time.

Street 345 for the seconds v Victoria.
Hemphey 151

Is Street one to watch for the future, or is this more of a fluke? Queensland hasn't really developed any young gun batsmen in a while, Heazlett, Labuschagne & Renshaw have all been on the scene for a good 4-5 years.

He's on the rookie list and playing the seconds, he bowls too so he's a smart cricketer. Club form is strong 1 100 and 1 50 already from first four games and a 300 for QAS, can't really fault him so far this summer.

Super fit. He's had two years in the seconds now and he's still young but this year could be a year to move up for him.

Last summer for the twos- 89, 89, 69, 83 in five games.

Sounds like he's got a bit of a case of the Heazlett's going on, plenty of 80's in him.

It's expected for a 21 year old learning his craft, not so much for an Australian player who has had four years of Shield.

Renshaw 136 of Toombul's 265.
