People (including some of our own fans) are pretty quick to say we only have ourselves to blame for Thursday night, but when you see shit like this come out it really does leave you wondering how much more could have gone against us in that game. It's infuriating and you're 100% right, it would not have fit Vince McMahon's story line for the week so it just gets swept under the rug.
Even on the big league wrap (total waste of time btw) and there was a game where Ennis was using the youth of the team and injuries as an excuse for them losing (might've been Newcastle?? ) and I was thinking so it's ok for other teams to use that as an excuse, but not Broncos.
Then when they finally got to the Broncos review they spent the whole time talking about recruitment... Hooper blabbering on about Dearden wanting out and Ennis saying it's a kick in the guts to Macca now that they're going after Issac.
Nothing about the actual game... isn't the whole point of the show meant to be about reviewing the weekend's games???
Nothing about the lopsided penalty count... apparently nothing to be positive about from the performance except Coates who is a "superstar in the making" (pre-empting their next star junior that wants out).
Also in total disbelief that he hasn't been a mainstay in the side since his debut against the sharks... ok so let's just forget that Coates was in the side for several weeks after his debut (which showed that his defence was horrendous)... but you're also saying Broncos should have even more inexperienced juniors in the lineup??
Can these guys make up their fucking minds!!
Other teams: injuries and inexperience an excuse.
Broncos: apparently no excuses... and should've kept Macca, and should be playing more juniors (Dearden and Coates), but also have too much inexperience in the side. Also needed a halfback for Milf, but shouldn't have got Croft and should've instead put it all on Dearden leading the team around
Would it still have been a kick in the guts to Macca that he was going to be depth only in our squad so we let him go to a team for more game time??... Nah you guys should've kept him because Turps was always going to break his leg
I mean these guys already ended Tim Mannah's career by advocating that it would be such a shame for him to leave parra last year and actually play first grade at wests... at which point Mannah back flipped and subsequently didn't have enough appearances to join a super league team and has now retired.
Macca was scheduled to play a bit role this year and would therefore fade off into the sunset... I'd even suggest that Paix would've taken the utility spot over Macca as the year progressed. Whereas now he has an opportunity to extend his career
