TPJ and Unregistered Third Party Agreement

So in a nutshell, TPJ is blowing up because he hasn't been paid for some deals that fell through due to Covid and according to Kent and Hooper, we are going to get next year's points docked and our salary cap cut because we didn't notify the NRL of the deals that fell through due to Covid and that were never paid?

Pretty much sums it up.

If the nrl find that tpj is just throwing bullshit accusations out there and bringing our recruiting strategies into bad light, can we sue that fucker? Honest question, this shits all over social media and we are getting dragged through the mud (not that we don’t do a decent job of it ourselves) but if found there is no basis for these accusations, there will be probably one single article about how we’re innocent, when there’s been twenty stating otherwise.

Just had my two toddlers all day and my blood pressure is through the roof, I want my pound of flesh.

If we get Bunn that puts us right in the race for Harry Grant. It was rumoured we were chasing people from other clubs for a football manager role. Maybe Paul Bunn’s one of them?
We were chasing him when Bennett came back . Yeah, family friends or something aren't they ?

Yeah I think so, or at least I’ve read on here that they are. Would be good to get him. I’m sure people like Kurt Richards and Simon Scanlan are good guys but I think the club needs some fresh people in those roles and I could see them being moved on, so Bunn might be a chance of happening

Clubs need to be aware of and agree to any TPAs so they can manage any conflicts of interest before a deal is registered. Imagine a player is offered a TPA doing ads for Big Bill's Boats - this doesn't conflict with any of our other sponsors so no worries. Another gets offered a deal with Mercedes-Benz, could be an issue there as our major sponsor is KIA. Paul White has to speak to KIA and it turns out it's all good - their marketing wankers are sure there's very little overlap between the wankers who buy Mercs and the wankers who buy KIAs. Yet another player enjoys his local craft brewery and they'd like to pay him to turn up and have a few drinks with the locals every other Sunday. Uh oh, it turns out Mr Fourex doesn't like being two-timed, and even though the deal is completely at arms-length it still cannot go ahead.

I can hear his voice reading that mate haha. I would put money on this all stemming from the Hooper interview. Its all to conveniently timed post his exclusive one on.

I read somewhere that Pangai never said anything publicly about not getting paid money he was owed. I think you are spot on, it's all Hooper. I wonder if he put words into TPJ's mouth, which wouldn't be hard. But yes, it seems posting the interview is a bit inconvenient (unless it was and I missed it).

Yeah mate after last nights 360 I am convinced. Ikin says Hoopers been investigating the 3rd party issue and asks Hooper about what he has discovered. Hooper just straight up avoided the question and went on to talk about how TPJ has got to go before the board to prove himself. Not a word about how the 3rd party investigations.

I think TPJ may have mentioned he has been unhappy about some money issues and being simple could not explain it right. Hooper then ran his little covert operations to blow the story up and now it looks like a dud they all don't want to talk about.

Bunn doesn't do the same job as either of those guys.

Bunn, scanlan and richards were all there together over 10 years ago at Red Hill and all were in charge of the junior development and recruitment. Bunn got speared and these other 2 got promoted into other roles... they may all have different roles now however things have got worst off the back of these 2 and their junior recruitment and development. There recruitment over the past 12 years has led the club to where it is today.
Bunn was a straight shooter at footy carnivals and wouldn't go sign a 100 kids like the others. Hence why he fits the Melbourne model so well.

Yeah I thought the same thing. The set him up perfectly and if he had anything he would have unloaded. Hooper is such a flog.

Hooper is useless but I agreed with Kent totally when he was talking about Seibold and White. He said Seibold needs to develop authenticity and I was thinking yep, nailed it. He pointed out that the comment Seibold made on the disabled kid felt like something he’s heard others say and so he felt he should say it and that is how it felt.

He said White was full of contradictions by saying we’re all accountable but then effectively throwing all the blame on the coach and a couple of underhanded digs at the former coach while saying Anthony’s time was a success when it was anything but.

That's not true Bunn left saying he was going to start his own business at the end of 2011 and then popped up at the Storm start of 2012. He wasn't speared at all.
