Where to From Here? Let's Plan for 2021

**** me poor Isaako getting no respect again.......

He’s had an off year.

Someone mentioned above about pretty much everyone having a bad year. Hard to argue that point so it got me thinking who has had a good year and I could only come up with this:

Carrigan
Riki
Farnworth
Dearden
Kennar
Kennedy

That’s about it and I reckon all of those guys are just down to natural improvement / more opportunities due to injury or suspension, what a terrible indictment on the coach.

It will be really interesting to see who the new coach brings into the squad. With Fifita gone, Offa looking likely to move on and TPJ doesn't fill me with confidence, we definitely need to make some smart signings to bring in some experience. We also need to hang onto Te'o for another year. It's crazy to think we could be going into next year even more inexperienced when that was one of our main faults this year.

Why? He's been awful.
I think he has been pretty solid considering he would be on a low wage. He brings alot of experience and a good attitude on and off the field. With this season plus an off season under his belt to get some fitness back I think he will be better next year.

The whole point of my post was I think we need some solid experienced blokes in the pack to beef up our depth and if Te'o wants to stay on a reasonable contract I think hes a must keep, especially given who is on the market currently.

He's been awful and if he was any other player he would cop it deluxe on here.

Changes have to be made to the team and getting rid of over-the-hill players is a fantastic place to start especially when they've offered very little. Whatever value he provided the Broncos has well and truly been used up.

Who would you replace Te'o, Fafita and possiy Offa with? You can't have a team full of under 20's... Do you not see our lack of experience as an issue?

To be fair out there aren't too many Broncos players we can say haven't had an off year.

I also feel that Oates has lost weight and isn't quite what he used to be since he had his leg infection thing
gone from one of the best wingers in the game to putrid.......i think his form nose dived about 18 months ago when he thought he was a backrower...should have moved him off to the bulldogs when they had the chance

His defensive reads of late are indeed putrid. Last night, he came in off his wing to tackle Gutherson who was in 3 wide, with the predictable result. He either won't or can't think, or just doesn't seem to care about much except taking a hit up.

Id say zero ***** given ...seems to be our most experienced players have timed their rapid declines in form at roughly the same time....uncanny

Honestly, I think he does it because he doesn’t have to think or actually attempt to make a read on the play. It’s so much easier to come flying in and that way he sorta looks like he’s trying and the attacking team was just too slick. “Not my fault”

It’s a cop out, the fact he’s being played there still is half the reason we have this culture issue that’s crept in.

Thing is we have an urgent need to claw our way out of the cellar.

Just as important we need to understand FULLY why we got here in the first place in order to never never arrive here again. Coaches, recruitment/retainment, CEO’s, football managers aside I suggest, as I have in other threads, the need to make a profit (largely for the shareholders In lieu keeping the club afloat ) become more important than winning a game of footy or heaven forbid making the finals.

I suggest that happened (partly) with Whites appointment.

Although I agree he has accomplished that ([profit) and making money is not a sin but we need a CEO or Manager (call him what you will) who can keep a balance.

Shareholders love the money but sponsors and fans love the exposure of a successful Rugby League team - on the footy field

If Morrris has any ability at all now is the time to show it or **** off with the rest of them.
Could be a while in the cellar mate....of course the joint needs a clean out from top to bottom but as far as the playing roster goes the off contract players available next year are paper thin except smith and cant see him coming to the club...the talent pool available is about as shallow as the gene pool at a bulldogs home game...pre covid

Not even, obviously haven't seen our injury list. I doubt we'll be on the bottom next year, infact I know we won't.
