Where to From Here? Let's Plan for 2021...er...2025

I feel like we need a complete overhaul in regards to our image as well. The jerseys suck, the logo is ingrained in mediocrity after years of being unsuccessful. If we sign Walters we need to embrace the past successes that we all remember and love. The 2015 heritage jersey was literally perfect so a return to that would be amazing. And this logo I found online (I changed the border and writing yellow to a more Broncos colour) would be a nice updated throwback.

Cool update, I still have the old bronco jersey.
 
Lets talk hookers😏 The first perosn to touch the ball every set kinda hooker. We've got quiet the predicament atm, currently have Macca, Isaac Luke, Jake Turpin and Paix on our roster. You would think 4 is too many "specialist" hookers to go into a season with. Throw in young Hetherington as well if times get desperate.

I would argue that Turpin is probably number one and must stay and Paix is young and cheap and could be the future so he stays as well. That leaves a battle between macca and luke. I see them as probably neck and neck but I'd lean towards Luke as i imagine he's cheaper and his kicking game has been good lately. However maccas defence is better ane he has a bigger motor. Personally I'm leaning towards a Luke/Turpin hooker combo.

Given our poor attitude and defensive issues there's an argument that Macca is a must for the side. A left field option would be to start macca at lock for the first 25-30 mins to strengthen the middle and make up for the loss of impact by having a solid front row of Hass and Pangai/lodge and and also a big meter eating second rower. Bring Macca off after 30 and then the bench lock on for the final 50 and revert back to a typical forward pack? Pretty left field but worth a a thought?

When you include halves into the equation i don't think you can afford to have in your top 30: deardon, milford, sos, croft, gamble, Turpin, luke, paix, macca. Acknowledging we've had a shocker injury toll this year and used them all but do all those guys make the roster too hooker, half, 5/8 heavy?

Couldn’t agree more... I think our current logo is starting to become a bit boring and plain, and as for those current jerseys a bloody 2 year old could have designed a better looking jersey... I agree we need a heritage jersey, better home and away jerseys, and a more modern version of the original logo

I feel that 4 specialist Dummy Halves is one too many in a squad the size we have. One of Macca or Luke is probably surplus to our needs. Ideally Corey Paix will spend most of 2021 in the Queensland Cup getting through 50-60 minutes in the role and building up his skillset and match fitness there, which leaves one of Macca or Luke to fill the 15-20 minute Bench role supporting Jake Turpin.

This is where I also think Alex Glenn can provide some benefit covering 15-20 minutes at Dummy Half. This would lessen the need for us to carry a spare Dummy Half on the Bench as well as giving Jordan Riki or Ethan Bullemor sufficient opportunity to get some game time under his belt on the edge too.

If we're serious about Staggs we need to leave him in the Centres week in week out to build combinations in defence and attack. I wouldn't be moving him around unless it was absolutely critical like the game just gone.

Totally agree, what would make that logo perfect and send a message to opposition teams is a huge set of horse pills hanging down a fair ways between those hind legs, looks a bit like a gelding at the moment, just saying not a criticism

Would also love to see the original Broncos theme song ring out over Suncorp when the team runs out, when a try is scored and a victory secured.
That 'we are the broncos of queensland' folk song they've forced on us is yuck.

no he wouldn't have ... because he should have won it, but apparently those that give the award only watched the 10 seconds of the game where JT slotted the field goal

I agree he deserved it regardless but what I meant was we would have won it in the jersey and he would have gotten the medal like he deserved because of that.
 
can i just say; lets play the long game here....

I said before im full of admiration for the aggressive signing policy the Titans are doing; at the very least they are moving on the right guys out of the club..

But, you know, they have a coach & CEO and all...2 things we dont have...

SSSSSSOOOOOOOOOO................let them eat cake.....you all know they will overspend to get guys like Brandon Smith, which takes them out as legit competition for FA signings in 2021 off-season..

When we can have arguably the biggest cap space in the league...

But we need to get our own house in order first; get a coach, get a CEO, re-sign our long term pieces like Dearden and Staggs etc....

And keep thinking, looking and planning for 2021 off-season. Done right...we set ourselves up for the following half decade if not longer...
