Who should it be?

We have been backed into a corner and Kevvie is the only choice we can make as a club for our next coach if we want to move forward.
It's not even about coaching ability anymore. We need Kevvie to restore pride to this shit show.

Please make the right choice board. Employing Green will piss off an already furious fan base.

I think it is very much about coaching ability: lock in a spine and stick with it, and then, absolute focus on defence. Walters and Kearney would be ideal.

Chris Garry saying yesterday the board was split before the interviews (which interestingly took place at Morris' stockbroking office and not Red Hill) and whoever nailed the interview would obviously be favoured.

Bit of a worry, considering Green has that grand final success to refer to and being able to talk about the journey getting there. Kev is a bit light on in terms of actual success/NRLcoaching experience, apart from his SL and assistant roles. I am actually getting worried Green is gonna get the gig. I can just see the board calling a press conference next week and speaking glowingly of Greens premiership success being the reason he was chosen. Which is true, and all very good, but he is not the man to bring the culture back to this club I don't think.

Living legend Darius Boyd isn't ruling out a return to Red Hill in a coaching capacity:

“I’m not too sure, I would never say never to anything. I would like to stay in the game in some way, but I’m not fixated on it. My main work will be in the mental health space, but I’d never say never to coaching down the track or other opportunities. We’ll see what happens.”

Badel points out Boyd has "played nearly every position in the backline throughout his 337-game career and could make a handy specialist coach."

I mean Green does have good experience with being unable to get a team back into the finals after talent retires.

Our season has finished and we still don’t have a coach. Why have we waited this long to sort this shit out? Would any successful business run this way? It’s an absolute joke

the latest article says donaghy can't come until august next year and broncos have put talks on hold until after storms finals campaign... i thought they weren't going to announce a coach until ceo is sorted... watch this spill out and affect our pre season for next year... bit of a circus

Wouldn't say it is a bad thing, he trained as hard as any of the greats of the game.
Just because his body couldn't keep up , he definitely had the smarts.

They have interviewed coaching candidates already so new CEO not involved in process "officially". However unofficially??

What about current CEO?
If he was involved that would be a major worry.

give it a rest

the exact same board that hired Seibold ... is the board that will hire Walters (or Green)

Paul White gets 1 vote ... just like Darren Lockyer, Karl Morris, Neil Monaghan etc

Let's mail them too or just drop them off at reception.
An envelope full for each of these clowns.

Guess he wouldn’t be on his own there. It’s those that can’t get their team into the finals before their talent retires we have to avoid.

Well he is contracted till end of October so probably involved with choosing next coach. Just hope potential new CEO also has an imput and at least as part of interview process is asked about who he/she thinks should be next coach.
