Unless Gagai breaks a number of tackles, runs 50 meters and gives you a saloon passage to the try line that is
FFS. Coates, at 19, with one season of NRL and on Origin debut, did his job and outplayed his opposite - what more do you want?

Seriously, the way you always manage to put a negative spin on something positive (except Milford of course, you know he won Broncos POTY in 2018 right?!?); you’re surely the life of every party 🙄

Is it just me or did they try their fucking hardest for the Blues there in that last 5 mins? Clearys chin was still on the fucking ground when he tried to play that ball and they gave a penalty!!!
That pricks chin is on the ground when hes standing up

I’m sure it’s been said, so excuse me if so, but irrespective of injuries I still couldn’t believe Hess was in the squad let alone the 13.

He did nothing tonight to change my mind.

Bloke burst onto the scene and has gone down quicker than a $2 pro since.
Youd swear he played for the broncos

Someone said it can’t be an easy thing to score a try on debut, it was a stock standard wingers finish, nothing difficult about it

He still had to score the try, which he did.

Heaven forbid people on a Broncos forum give credit to the only Broncos player in the QLD team scoring on debut in a game we’re expected, by all and sundry, to lose and lose big.

In our first wooden spoon season, we should be thankful you’re here to temper the positivity.

Milford probably drops that, assuming he was even moving quickly enough to get near it in the first place which is probably unlikely.
Yeah milfs a winger and everything

My bad, what I meant to say it was the single greatest most difficult try scored by anyone, anywhere, ever and was in no way aided by any other player than Coates, who is the most prodigious talent anyone has ever seen, in any sport, ever.

For mine Coates was amazing particularly in that he didn't screw up as a 19 year old on Origin debut, and with only 15 NRL games behind him. His try was for mine, icing on that cake, irrespective of whether or not it was a simple run to the line which in fact it was. I also noticed just how big a difference it makes to a young winger to have a decent defensive centre inside him given his defence at the Broncos.
