Reynolds signing for Sharks would be a blessing for Broncos, especially if we were gonna pay anything above 500k. He is the epitome of average with an elite kicking game. I guarantee you the Sharks will regret the signing by 2023, and Sharks fans will hate him after 18 months.

I was under the impression we all deserve a second chance in life. Mind you that doesn't apply to mass murderers, child killers and rapists, used car salesman and lawyers, paedophiles and killers in general.

You probably should try and understand the drug scandal, such as it was isn't that big a deal as it was a decade ago, he's paid for his sin and the original intention of the 6 week course from the snake oil salesman was to aid in speeding up recovery times and not for advantage through muscle growth etc. From my understanding it takes a hell of a lot more than what Essendon and Cronulla did to build bigger stronger faster etc.

But, you have your say, it's not going to matter either way.

I would add fly in and fly out train drivers to that list.

I'd love SJ and Taylor, they are my preferred halves I think. I just don't rate Drinkwater as the guy we need to turn it all around.

Assuming Reynolds is off the table, my order of preference would be:

1) Shaun Johnson - Not even close, he's comfortably the best playmaker of the available bunch, and he's proven he can have an impact in relatively poor teams.
2) Ash Taylor - Still only 26, think he could find another gear if he's given complete control of a team.
3) Mitch Moses - Also still only 26, I think he's a pretty similar player overall to Ash Taylor, the only reason I would have Taylor ahead is the fact that he's a Queenslander / ex-Bronco, and also doesn't seem like a complete wank.
4) Scott Drinkwater - Youngest of the bunch, think he's a little bit overrated though, kicking game is either spectacular or really bad, not what we need.
5) Gareth Widdop - Oldest of the bunch and was starting to tail off at the end of his NRL tenure, not overly keen.
6) Aidan Sezer - Was carried pretty hard by Hodgson & Wighton when he was on the Raiders, don't think he has a great deal of talent.

Love to sign Josh Schuster from Manly. He's built like David Fafita and plays 5/8. Looks like a promising young prospect at 19 years of age. Love how he palms the ball in one hand like it's a tennis ball. Unfortunately he's contracted to Manly til the end of 2022 season.

I think he is the better deal for the price point, SJ would be pricey and I really want to chase a quality 9 aswell. If Milford could get some form back and drop his price to $500 , I'd consider it to.

Go for Johnson I reckon. We need an experienced playmaker and someone who can handle the pressure of Brisbane. All we need is someone like him for a few years that can get this team some wins so we can start the rebuild. The biggest priority is getting wins so this doesn’t look like such a poor destination all of a sudden.

Didn't he also extend recently, maybe that is why DCE could become available.
Manly might be happy with foran and Schuster and would save $$

Yeah til the end of 2022 season. Manly probably got him for dirt cheap. If we offer him a long-term contract for like 500k a year maybe he can ask for an early release. But Broncos never look outside their own backyard going by form.

Yes. They have Brown and insert another serviceable halfback, they'd be basically just as good. Moses is not what we need, not at all.

Brown is very average.

the more I think about it, the more I like an SJ/Taylor combo for next season.

Taylor has all the skills to be an elite half, to get the best out of him and redevelop (for lack of a better word) him we need 2 things. an experienced half to take the pressure off him and allow him to just play his natural game (that's where SJ comes in) and a quality halves coach (that would be Kevvie). then in 2 years Taylor will be ready to run the side himself.

Mose hasn't been the same since the Storm.

Moses on the other hand would be the best choice imo. Still young with room to improve, rarely gets injured and not demanding DCE money. Some people around here think he's shit but can you imagine the eels being anywhere near as good without him?

Only young half I'd go for is Walker. Otherwise its just developing again, and then they might as well have just kept Dearden.
