OFFICIAL Isaako released to Titans

I genuinely don't know either. I mean he bags out Milf repeatedly and Isaako comes out and has another bad game, though pretty much just as bad as Milf the week before and Isaako was...good? Come on man.
Isaako was good? Who said that ?Who said he was even okay? Cmon man, show me where I said anything even remotely like that. This is the problem with debate, when others misrepresent your position on anything.

I feel like this conversation happens with you just about every single week but let's do this again:

- You are doing EXACTLY what you are claiming others are doing - you are claiming posters are saying ONLY Isaako was bad and only he was poor, I don't think anyone is / has said that
- Isaako committed a mistake on half time was inexcusably stupid for a guy who hasn't been setting the world on fire regardless of what you claim and for someone who is now a seasoned and experienced player
- Isaako put a ball on a player's foot just after half time and then challenged the decision that could not have been clearer
- These two points were enough to make (or at least accelerate) an implosion of a mentally weak football team
- Isaako kicked the ball out on the full AGAIN - this happens at least once a month, probably more
- Our forwards, particularly Lodge, were breaking through the line constantly and not once was Isaako there to offer a runner - this is BASIC fullback play in the modern game
- In 65 minutes, Isaako had 6 runs for 55m, which other fullback in the modern game runs that little?

What more do you need?

Yes. Isaako was having a bad game or at least was the one who was having the worst night. The blunder at half-time was awful and it affected him badly. The rest of the team ( aside from one or two) also didn't have a great night. My problem as always is the bhq lynch-mob mentality and the tendency that many have to focus on a single player or moment and total blindness to anything else that occurred.

His mistake cost us 6 points and in a game where we had 52 scored on us blaming him solely for the loss is ludicrous.
That one mistake directly cost 6 points, he made others as well that indirectly led to more tries being scored, notably the play the ball / captains challenge debacle, where they scored almost immediately after that mistake.

I don’t think he is a good fullback particularly for the reasons I’ve mentioned before, but those errors and his overall game to me were more symptomatic of someone whose head simply wasn’t in the game, despite playing in such a crucial position on the field.

As bad as that stuff was, it is more concerning to me that it took Kevin 65 minutes to realise it and didn’t act sooner, when the game was still in the balance and might perhaps have been saved with an astute tactical choice or two...

To have any effect beyond sending a message, Isaako needed to stay off at half time and maybe things would have panned out differently.

But we have for some time, seemed to crumble when the first thing goes wrong as a team, our off-field as well now simply watches when we’re starting to head towards the cliff and doesn’t nothing to even try and stop the inevitable capitulation…

Gotta hand it to huge. When he finds an idol that’s right for him his faith never waviers. 😛
The last defender of Darry farken B.

Isaako does not have the mental fortitude of a Slater or any champion player. He is unable to shake his Yips and that gets demonstrated time and time again. Who has kicked it out on the full more than Isaako, honestly.

His mentality is symbolic of the crack under pressure nature of Broncos within Vlandys balls.

Stop. I did not say all posters. I responded to the poster who claimed Isaako was solely responsible for the loss. JAHHW claimed Isaako "did a bang up job of losing us the game all on his own". Others chimed in after. I didn't defend Isaako or the game he produced. Try and object only to what I've written and not what imaginitus produces.

The toss of the coin also led to our loss, it's a ridiculous claim to isolate a bad play the ball. I think the missed tackles and bad reads led to the next try combined with having one less player. Possession ebbs and flows in all games and it's garbage to suggest Isaako or any other player who makes a mistake in a game is solely responsible for a loss. By this rationale we could point to any mistake in the first half and blame the player for the loss.

I'm fucked if I know how you can single out a bad play the ball and ignore the high shot that cost us dearly. I really don't understand such twisted logic.

Actually, there was a cowboys kicker with an enormous boot who used to get it wrong pretty often some years ago. Isaako has faults and he really does need to work on the kickoff no doubt. He has such sweet timing and he reminds me of a mate I played golf with years ago, he would consistently hit approach shots too well yet even when he tried backing off the power he seemed to hit them even more sweetly!

Isaako has had some poor moments this year and he has much to work on but I just don't know how so many posters on here, smart insightful posters just don't see the same thing I see, namely the tendency to pick a player and focus almost exclusively on him. Last year (and for years before too) it was DB and I even wondered out loud after the season ended who bhq would choose this year to centre their collective hate on.

I have no problem at all with Isaako copping justifiable criticism, none whatsoever and **** yes, he deserved a bollocking after his last game. Surely some on here should compare Robati's ill discipline and the cost to the team with Isaako making a bad call.
We lost that match in that ten minutes, we didn't lose it because of a sloppy play the ball or the clusterfuck at the end of the first half.

So now you are suggesting that had Isaako been made to sit out the second half Robati wouldn't have been guilty of ill discipline?????? The team would magically be better and Robati's technique would suddenly change and with no Isaako on the field everyone in this wooden spoon team would become top four standard players. Yea, right. We might have also lost by 92.

**** me dead. Can not see that is plainly insane?

It's Blaming the fire for the damage rather then what ignited it, we all know our team is weak as piss when shit doesn't go our way so of course we are going to blame Isaako for a loss when our mistakes and head drops came off the back of his.

It's easier to replace a player then a whole team.

Speaking of Darry B, Isaako had a good old fashioned Darry B slip on the last try scored against us before he got dropped. That was lovely.

A touch rough on a 2 game veteran, but I agree his binning was massive.

My question then; Was Ben Hunt responsible for us losing the 2015 grand final? Or is it garbage to put the blame on him for his spear tackle, ball strip and final drop in golden point?

Realistically, ive checked and rechecked and i can think of a single occasion where ive sen Issako engage the defense and provide quality service to his outside backs like Dufty did against us...

Dufty though loses points simply because he did this against us....a under-20s side apparently...

Glenns atrotious read needs no explaining..no talk, no cohesion on the edge...Ramseys out on the wing by himself...but nice work by Dufty to step inside and set up Bird.

Again, simply straighten and then cut out pass...

This play though is the one that makes me think; replace De Belin with Lodge or TPJ running to enagage the line then pass to Dufty wrapping around and finding guys like Staggs or 2nd rower...

Because im sure we have the skills in this side to do this regularly...

Again......got any Isaako vids to share of him doing this....?
These videos show some of the vital errors with our defensive systems.

Although the issues appear out wide because that is where the tries are scored, it is our second rowers standing shoulder to shoulder with our middle forwards that is causing the issue. That ends up with our outside 3 defenders marking 4-5 opposition players across 25-30m of the field off a simple sweep play.

The fact that our backs are either standing still or running backwards does not rush the oppositions decision making or passes, to force an error, and enables the opposition to complete the play to outnumber us and put their team mates into gaps.

This happens over and over. The games we have won is only because teams have failed to attack this area or we have had better field position for the majority of the match.

The issue isn't purely on Isaako but when you hand the opposition a try through lack of effort, then come out after the break and make a basic error playing the ball.. that's a fair way to hand the opposition all the momentum they need to win the footy game

With the way the game is being played under the new rules, momentum is a big part of the game and to simply give it away like he did on Thursday night, that's where the issue lies. You cannot simply just give it away to other teams, it's too hard to wrestle back and as shown so many times, we can't defend it.

The good teams defend their mistakes, we get to a certain point and throw it in. Can the team defend better? of course they can but at some point you have to stop making basic fundamental errors too, Isaako has too many of those in his game and it's been that way for a long time.

...not wrong.....check out the second try here.....watch the "urgency" of our edge forward to get across and help..

Kelly's alone marking three players at once at one stage....

Yes, I really don’t blame Robati for making a mistake, it happens. It was more how significant were the results of the various mistakes.

Reading through all these posts, I can’t wait to see the round 14 team list in the alternate world of Huge:

1. Isaako
2. Isaako
3. Isaako
4. Isaako
5. Isaako
6. Isaako
7. Isaako

P.S. Kennedy has been fine, so does actually deserve to be in the team when fit again.
