I would have robati at 17 given his greater utility. He can cover 2nd row but has demonstrated he can slot just as easily into the middle rotation when needed.

I think three bench spots are likely sewn up with Carrigan, Flegler/James and Robati. If we could somehow get Api, maybe Paix has the fourth spot. If not, it will be interesting to see what happens with Turpin/Paix. It makes sense to start with Turps for the first 30 and then inject Paix with Turps going into 13.

Ok so I saw someone chuck in the renegade team list before and it inspired me to work som Sproj Sproj magic and make 3 team lists. I think what it highlights is that we possibly have the best player depth in the competition. We got players with origin experience in renegade 2’s which is impressive. Also just quickly note I put Arthars in 2’s so that we had a proper fullback. Your teams may be a little different but the underlying point is the same.

That's bloody impressive. To have even an uninspiring version of t Roberts and/or te maire Martin in our reserve-reserve side is impressive...

Wow.

Did we actually sign Liu? Whether we did or not the fact that he would be prop in the Renegades 2 shows or depth in the forwards.

That's with willison and palasia playing 2nd row... we did need james I believe for that step up level depth but our overall prop depth this year is the best I've ever seen and surely the best in the nrl.

First of all just making sure you realise it’s Dunamis Lui not Isaac Liu. Not confirmed yet but it was for train and trial and Dunamis already moved back to Brisbane so I think both parties would be pretty keen considering his upside is far better than the downside on 1k a week

Sproj Sproj just sproj'd.

If we sign Dunamis, he would be in first grade.

No I don't think he would. He isn't jumping ahead of any of Haas, Flegler, James, Carrigan, Robati, Hetherington or even Riki. He would be VERY handy depth but he is still depth. I'm a big fan and want us to sign him but even if we do, he isn't a top 17 player and that's fine.

if we only have 1 open spot left, I do not think it is a Prop we need. Either a stand out outside back from training or trials, or a significant out of club spine (we can only hope)

He isn't competing with Hetherington or Riki, and of course he isn't jumping ahead of Haas, Flegler or Carrigan. I'd have him as my second bench prop.

8. Carrigan
9. Turpin
10. Haas
11. Capewell
12. Riki
13. Kobe

14. Paix
15. Flegler
16. Lui
17. Piakura/Robati

If we want to use Robati and Piakura off the bench, I think Robati is going to be better suited in the middle anyway, and Lui would miss out if we went that way. But Lui is definitely ahead of James and Kennedy as bench prop options in my books.

And that is fine but it is only your books. In the club's eyes, if he was a best 17 player, he would have been signed before James. This is why it is good to try and avoid personal views as definitive statements.

I think Dunamis would jump ahead of a few of the inexperienced players

I think Kevvie is looking for some experienced campaigners to not only provide a bit of competition for spots but also so that these experienced players can help set a few standards that maybe the younger guys that aren't used to seeing in the QLD Cup

Look back in the past few years they've had blokes like TPJ to learn off, TPJ on his day is a beast and we all know that.. but his days were few and far between

do we need to fill it right away or could we wait till the season starts and see if anything comes up that isnt available atm?
