Am I right in saying tesi niu and jake turpin are the only players in our squad to have losing percentages this year?
Don't read too much into this, but one more for the list. Reece Walsh's win percentages:

2021: 31% (16 games, 9 tries, 11 assists, tackle efficiency 72.32%)
2022: 24% (17 games, 1 try, 8 assists, tackle efficiency 66.67%)

Meanwhile Tesi Niu at fullback:

2021: 31% (16 games. 8 tries, 3 assists, tackle efficiency 80.58%)
2021: 44% (9 games, 3 tries, 4 assists, tackle efficiency 68.89%)

And Ryan Papenhyzen, just for fun:

2021: 80% (15 games. 14 tries, 6 assists, tackle efficiency 82.61%)
2021: 67% (12 games, 14 tries, 9 assists, tackle efficiency 74.60%)

That is a textbook example of someone making up statistics to suit a narrative. Congratulations, you’re comparing a team in 12th to a team in 5th and wonder why the win % are different.

No one is making anything up. It's a response to a question that isn't drawing any conclusion. The stats are taken from NRL.com.

At a stretch, based on stats alone, you might conclude Tesi is a slightly better defender, Reece is better at setting up tries. But you have to attempt a tackle to miss a tackle. One thing I notice about Reece is he attempts a lot but fails. Tesi often goes missing.

The question was “are Jake and Nui the only players with a losing percentage in OUR squad”

The question was not “please dig out stats to further inflame Walsh/Nui argy Bargy”

Seems pretty relevant to me given Tesi and Reece will be fighting for the 1 jersey. Why are you so triggered?

Just a little rant here on the side playing today. Paix is getting heavily put down for his game, but he seen less minutes than Walters and he come on when tigers were all over us. Turpin can make good tackles but he isn't a tactical tackler. Turpin takes them low and they can get straight up from landing on the belly. I honestly can't see us winning this game unless Reynolds and Mam have absolute blinders. Reynolds needs to earn his money in this game.

Let's face it. Neither of Turps, Billy or Paix are first grade standard or anywhere near it. Imagine this side with someone of the calibre of Grant, Korisau or even Marshall-King. Arguing the merits of three spuds is pointless.

The spine is almost sorted out compared to the rabble of a year ago. ARey has arrived and has shown his worth even at 70% fit (at best). Mam has been a revelation and is heading to stardom. Niu is progressing nicely and TMM is a capable backup and Walsh is looming. The #9 continues to be a glaring weakness but maybe that will be addressed in the off-season.

Do you reckon there's a chance people are winding you up?
I wasn't wound up and it was just a short single sentence. Relax, I was very very happy with the way RK's inclusion was received by bhq. I couldn't help think my work (and Rk's of course) was done! No comments looked like a huge win to me considering how his selections have been historically received.

I remember a few years ago when Sammy absolutely schooled JWH. Great to watch
I had the very great fortune to sit with him, one on one over coffee and actually discussed the game. I told him that whenever it is mentioned on bhq it gets a lot of love. I told him he made a lot of people very very happy then. He said "bullied the bully", those exact words. It was a good and lucky chat because our great coach KW gatecrashed the party so opportunity for further chatting was pretty much lost.

Unfortunately, 5 mins later my flight was called and I seriously considered missing it just to get a few more minutes in listening to the conversation.

That last bit is the big one.

TRIGGER WARNING

Bullying isn't possible in modern RL. Not unless you want to be penalised and sin binned out of the contest. Punching, shoulder charges and contact to the head were all legal during that legendary match when Sammy made JWH his bitch for a full 80 mins.

Well this very last week, NAS and JWH both proved that those very things (aside from punching) are still all very much legal depending on who you play for.

I said 6 things and he responded what the ****. How on Earth have you worked out that he was specifically angry at the 4th thing that was listed?
Why is your conclusion 'that he was angry' is also my conclusion ? I merely pointed out that the list wasn't ALL bad. You know, just saying, always look on the bright side, silver linings and all that. I didn't think for a moment he was unhappy about RK😉
