So can anyone seek salary cap relief for any injury if this goes through??

"Done my ACL... need cap relief"
NRL: "but do you play for Uncle Nick??"
"Like at golf??"

Anasta should've been pushed to give some examples of Roosters players using these connections in their post football career, and how it has made up for sacrificing $$$ during their career.

I'd be genuinely interested in hearing even just one example, and the player wouldn't even have to be named.

Yes Dragons did it with De Belin and Raiders did it with Hodgson and his knee. Roosters were denied cap relief for Cordner with his head injuries.

If you give cap relief for potentially going to jail how can they not give it for serious mental illness?

Surely if you say no then it just makes players not come forward and get help knowing they will be a burden on the club.

The game/people can't talk about the seriousness of mental health then penalise a club that has a player getting help.

That whole segment was dodgy. As if they are going to push it with an ex-Rooster and player agent as host. That show has just gone even further downhill with that massive conflict of interest front and centre.

Even Rothfield saying that players will take less to go to the Roosters to be in a good system and be coached under a three time premiership winner in Robinson and I was like...umm... B.Smith went from the Storm and Leniu has gone from Penrith, the current double-reigning premier. In fact, the Panthers have lost all of Capewell, Burton, Kikau, Koraisau, Naden, Momirovski, Staines, Laurie and Katoa in the last two-three years and replaced them with no names. Yet no one even picked up on that, the Roosters have lost...ummm...Mitchell? Meanwhile replacing him with B.Smith, Lodge, Young and apparently still had money to chase Flegler. Yep, not a peep out of any of the panel.

Napa back at roosters on a second tier deal

It's like Hunt in 21- does it ever work? It's like an insurance policy that doesn't cover you for theft, fire or flood.

He will kill someone in NSW Cup and play 10 games and lose interest.

Judging by the tantrum Roosters old boy Bwaith just had on 360 when discussing if players salaries should be public to prove if there is anything sus going on I think that was close to confirmation.

He had the panic of a bloke who’s missus has his phone and he can’t remember if he deleted all the messages and dick pics.

Is there a link to this anywhere? Bloke is a top tier wanker, I'd love to see him losing his shit.

The sombrero is the talk of the NRL right now. They've pushed it too far this time and it's blatantly clear there's fuckery going on. Panthers have lost 1/3 of their starters the past few years. Storm have lost their forward pack. Rorters just keep signing big names...one of these things is not like the others.

But what will the NRL do about it? SFA because there are too many powerful people at the Rorters. If there's going to be a cap, make it fair. If you want a free for all, let's do that - Broncos stand to gain if that ever happens, so I'm all for it.

It is a disgrace Anasta is the host of that show. Of all the ex-players they could have got, why a player agent?

why would NRL360 be any different from anything else in this sport. the word impartial doesn't appear anywhere in any rugby league dictionary.

Ikin leaving that show was literally the worst thing that could happen to it. when he was host it has some credibility and he did a decent job moderating the nutcases ... now it is just one big agenda driven echo chamber

The good old days. Like that host Ikin who was on the QRL board and despite 24 hours earlier Queensland getting beaten by 50 would never find fault with the QRL or QRL board appointed coach.

Yep totally comparable situations. A player agent ex-Rooster is going to be so much better than a guy sitting on a non-NRL board and might have a conflict of interest three times a year independent to the week in, week out runnings or clubs and the murky world of salary cap shenanigans.
