Think again. We dont win that game without Reynolds. That play and ball to Capwell was genius. If we dont get that try then we would probably have struggled to get back into it. His in game kicking was on point ( not so much his goal kicking ). Nowhere near stinking it up. I still dont think anyone d

I lost my shit when Billy went from half on the last off a slow as **** play the ball.
Just a dumb fucking play.
Nearly as bad as Arthur's scoot and kick for himself.
Yeah billy like others was ordinary tonight. Rikki was great I thought apart from getting knocked over by Wallace on our try line

The Dolphins are absolute Terminators lol. No matter what the set back they just kept coming to get us. We ended up playing right into their hands towards the end but thank science we got job done!

How was that crowd aye? I was just watching on the TV but god damn it sounded crazy loud.

Redcliffe might have the support players to take advantage of that......

2-3 plays...a game?

that more than Ezra is doing......

Ezra, the second year player vs a 10 year veteran?

Next game it'll be a rookie half and Milford, 2-3 plays from Milford isn't going to cut the mustard.

Milford just needs to do what he did tonight and let Katoa do the work. Problem i think they will have is Milf will try to take over. He works best as a support player, not the general. I reckon thats what will happen next week and it will all go pear shaped.

Lolz....the 10yr veteran now

We’ll...I suppose at least it's not his milliiioonnn dollar price tag anymore..... :rofl

We did it the hard way, until we start playing with more composure again and being happy just to build pressure it’s going to bite us on the arse. Hopefully now that game is out of the way we will.

Walsh in particular needs to respect possession more instead of throwing it away on the first tackle in the attacking 20m! He’s only young, but it’s a regular thing now, he needs to reign it in.

Staggs has really matured, he’s a much better rounded player, the flashy stuff will return and be the icing on the cake.

Cobbo on the other hand is off in his own little world.

Reyno looks like he’s carrying something, he was a bit off tonight.

This. He seriously looks like he is on another planet when you watch him. He laughs when nothing funny is happening or just off in his own world playing park footy, by himself. Pretending he’s on the field with his childhood heroes… wtf??

Some people wont give him any credit and tbf he hasnt deserved a lot in recent years. It was an all or nothing play because they had a left winger on one leg and not many options. Its all that was on. I think the likes of Smith and Fittler thought it was a smart play. It was either going to get a result for them or it was going to fall to us, and luckily we got the chocolates.
I thought it was the right kick... he drilled it in there to see if we'd make an error or if it would pop up to one of his.

It going to Staggs is the risk you take, but if he goes a cross field kick then he can risk a knock on from one of his players or a bronco taking it dead and then they're running out of time for the drop out anyway.

He drilled it in there to crate chaos on the kick... if it kicks up earlier Aitken is standing in a mile of space on his own

He's on the spectrum.....?

Possibly autistic....

I guess you're getting a bit impatient wait for a loss, so you could show up with your negativity.

deciding to try it during a winning streak, when we are first on the ladder, is a bold strategy.

This. I dare anyone to say as they were watching it live that it wasn't a dangerous kick. Anything could've happened!

I dont think he was that bad. Couple of misplaced passes early on but when we need a big play he was the one who put it on for Capewell.

Totally agreed. We're not 4-0 without Reynolds. We might be lucky to be 1-3, if that.

The first half we were clearly dominating the middle but we kept spreading the ball and trying to attack the edges. We had no patience. We were so lateral and error prone it just fatigued our forwards so much.

I really think if we targeted the middle that whole first half and started getting some support plays of the back of that we would have dominated that first half and ran away with it in the second on top of the fatigue it would have caused them. Just lacking direction and patience. Tried to overplay so much in that game when what we needed to do was simplify everything.

Not taking anything away from the dolphins they were tough they gave their all. But we really did not play to what are strengths and advantage over the opposition was.

Also think Jensen needs to start so flegs can target a tiring forward back he would bust through, and Carrigan needed a spell much earlier.

Kevvies forward rotation was excellent last week. This week it was terrible.
I think our issue at the moment is when do we sub Patty and Haas.

Realistically they both need to come off at 30mins and then come back on at 55-60mins... except we don't like playing without them on the field and the risk is high playing without both of them out there, especially if Flegler is taken off at the 20mins mark or so.

Last week we took Patty off early and kept Payne out there, except dragons started running over the top of us whilst Payne was out there... Payne went off at 50 and then came back at 70 to terrorise them.

That's not really sustainable, because Payne struggled going that long straight and whilst giving him a 20min rest was beneficial, bringing him back with only 10mins to go is a risk as well.

This week I daresay he tinkered with having Patty out there longer and then bringing him back on for the last minutes of the game. Whilst Haas was able to come off earlier and then come back earlier in the second half.

We need to get to a position where the bench can be trusted to carry the middle with Patty and Haas both off... currently Jensen, Taupau & Palasia. I'm not sure Kobe will change that after his injury, but he will be a massive improvement on Palasia.

It's another reason why Flegs off the bench helps the balance though... you take Patty and/or Haas off at least you still have an origin level prop to come on and keep the intensity.
