I hate to say it, but Xavier outplayed our boy Selwyn.
and he had 2 big moments robbed by the ref, I didn’t think he was off side and that try was legit at the death.

The players should go on strike. The way the game gets officiated is mind boggling and the rules brought in are just fucking ridiculous. If I was Haas, I'd **** off to Union. Game is just so broken now.

We are nowhere near premiership material. We can go on a little winning streak beating the shit teams but when the big dogs come to town (Storm, Souths etc) we crumble and fold like the weak bitches we are. Until this somehow changes, we will NEVER beat the Storm again and we definitely won't win another premiership again.

Truly one of the more frustrating and happier losses we will ever have. We lost no fans tonight after the adversity faced.

I don’t think I’ve ever said the word **** more in a game than I did tonight some of the reffing absolutely floored me.

The obvious one was Carrigans sin bin. I think 100% of rugby league fans would agree that it is not a sin bin. I (and most of you) would say it isn’t even a penalty, but at what stage do we accept that something like that is an accident and is just a penalty without a sinbin, the same as a high tackle on someone falling. A sin bin is such a big penalty in the game these days.

I’ve recently started watching ice hockey. Their bin is 1/30th of the game and if there is a score it is over. Different sport obviously as far as possession is concerned but surely the idea of receiving your penalty in the form of a man down shouldn’t continue once you have got the ultimate goal of the sport.

Anyway, I’m so proud of our effort tonight. A fair go and we win that easy I think. Once again a game against Melbourne (like 2015) convinces me we are the real deal.

With Carrigans it wasnt a hip drop. It wasnt reckless or a lack of care from him, he just tried to tackle a huge bloke and the momentum caused what happened. Until they use some common sense with some of these hip drops the game is going to be a farce.

All in all I don't think the storm are going anywhere this year. They were full strength (pap is either not coming back this year or is going to return a shadow of his former self until he gets confidence back) and should have put us away convincingly on the back of that second half refereeing and us losing Arey.

Hopefully the boys just write the game off and move on.

EDIT: People whinge about the bunker, but I'd like to see it become more involved in general play. For example, I wish we had someone watching the defensive line full time. If they're going to call back bull shit 'hip drops' 5 tackles after they happen then let them have more input in areas where some teams push the limits and gain an unfair advantage.

I think you’ll find the key is that NAS dove and pretended to be hurt.

Paix? The guy that throw the wildest pass ever when we rolling down the field to give possession and winning try to Melbourne? Weird time to push that argument.
I thought billy or Staggs three that, was it Paix?

in the last 10 minutes when they basically had to throw it about being 8 behind ... he lost the handle of a slippery ball

Billy has been shit all year, he confuses the middle of the ruck and gives away stupid penalties

Why are you even a fan of this team? We are having the best season we have had in years and you never have anything but disdain for them? I’m not saying you should be a cheerleader but at some point it might be better for your mental health to support a team you actually like.
I have probably been a fan longer of the Broncos than you. I support them through everything however I'm not one of these delusional fans perhaps like you that just thinks the Broncos are God's gift and will win the premiership every year. When we are playing to our potential, I say it and am proud of it however when we aren't playing to our potential especially against the Storm given the record, I call it out and speak how it is. If the truth hurts then mute/block me however I suggest you grow thicker skin because if a random guys words like mine anger and frustrate you on the intenet and turn you into a little sensitive boy, how are you dealing with the real world pal? Toughen up. Now, mute/block me. Mmmk? Cheers.

13 straight losses against the purple pricks. It's not a fluke, they just own us.
It started with Reynolds passing on the 5th, turning it back on the inside to someone who got tackled immediately. Reynolds SHOULD have put in a kick right down there end and played smart footy.

But he didn’t and Storm run straight down our end, score immediately and get in the game as we were easily on top then.

We did really dumb shit all night. Walters, Herbie, Cobbo and at times Walsh.

We do dumb shit, give easy penalties, turn over the ball cheaply and then stand around wondering why we lost.
