I hate this.

Technically, it's an obstruction. But Jensen was not stopping Koloamatangi from sliding across to close the gap. He played for the obstruction which is what I hate. The refs need to start cracking down on this.

They did. In the second half. They ruled Walker initiated contact on Carrigan. Try confirmed.

There ya go.

He does this all the time, and i believe it was 3 infractions before he got suspended, but Marty cops it up front.

Cheers Pete
Thank you for the visuals @Midean.
Helped me out with a roosters supporter calling it “the worst ever” 😂😂😂

If we couldn't get the Walsh charge downgraded with multiple witness accounts and lack of evidence from the NRL, there is absolutely no way we get Marty downgraded with that tackle. Take the 3 weeks. It's a good result I reckon.

I think Marty's is a grade worse for sure. Suaalli is a grub but Marty's lift was way higher.

Don't get me wrong, I'm not doing a Parker and calling it the worst act on a football field in years, it's just a brain fart with potential to be horribly dangerous. 3 weeks is fair, don't do it again.

I think Walsh was hard done by, Marty getting 3 weeks for that raised knee, not so much. I'd have personally went grade 2 given there was no harm done, but this isn't an incident where I think the MRC is being over bearing.

That being said I'd love to see the outcome if Nelson did it. Dude is invisible to the media and MRC with his grubbery. At least JWH gets fined every 2nd week.

Yeah I guess, Can't take the Kangaroo court seriously.

I would challenge that tbh, Knee wasn't first contact and I can't see an angle where it actually contacted, the suspension is far too insane given the outcome.
You guys all make good points, however, it’s all this “what ifs”…

So IF a player shoots out of the defensive line and tries to shoulder charge an attacker AND misses… they get 3-4 weeks?!

IF you miss with a swinging arm and the attacker ducks, scores a try… you get suspended for 3-4 weeks for “intent”…

I’ll go one step further… when they shirt grab and flex on each other, one player throws a punch and MISSES, they get a 3-4 week suspension?!

Just had to check our draw to see if I could cancel Kayo again due to their appalling commentary, but no - two Saturday games on the horizon.
Just x it. There are other options. Just get a VPN and an adblocker

How’s lifting a leg like Marty did any different to JWH’s or Tino’s “bumper bars” (a raised elbow to the head of a defender, but bumper bar sounds harmless and cute)? I think both are bad, but some forwards go into nearly every tackle with their elbow raised and don’t even get penalised unless they injure someone.
We should call it "Marty was lifting his twee twunks". Then it sounds kinda cute.

I thinks it depends if you think there was any contact with the knee at all. If there was, it's more comparable with: IF you flip a player and drive him head first into the ground, but he lands on his shoulders/doesn't break his neck, do they get a suspension?

Reyno put a couple over last week with a simple cut out pass and a grubber. Mam has hit a wall a bit, maybe it’s because Walsh is there and he doesn’t have to, but I don’t think he’s had the same confidence in his playmaking of late and he’s reverted to just running the ball.
It's just our right to left isn't as good as our left to right. Walsh doesn't skip across quite as well to attract the next defender, and he doesn't pass as well that direction. It will hopefully come, but the link is just not as fluid going that side.

It wasn't late, he hit him a millisecond after he tapped the ball on.

Millisecond or a minute , still late , as in he didn`t have the ball .
2nd rowers get a cpl of weeks for doing that to half backs .

Spin it anyway you like . He hit the guy with a a swinging arm in the mouth after he passed the ball .
This is coming from an Arthars fan .
