Yeah, we need a training montage showing all the work leading up to tonight

One of the most dominating performances in a final I have witnessed. The boys came ready to play physical footy and totally rattled the cage of the Storm. The rest of the league will be looking over their shoulder after this performance. So proud of each and every one of these blokes.

Arthars only ran for 62m compared to all the other backs who were over 100. Are we sure he should have been picked over Oates?

Haas - 180m, 77 PC metres
Carrigan -193m, 85 PC metres!
Hetherington - 140m
Palasia - 153m - he really came into his own in that second half
On a dry track and Oates fit I would go with him, but Arthars has done the task all year and is safe as a house under the high ball. IMO the right choice.

Melbourne kicked to Cobbo all night. Kev made the right call. Oates has the old dropsie in him, Arthars doesn't.

JYY's was worse in that not only did his leg break, his full weight came down on it like a skyscraper coming down. It must have been messy. The docs said it was like a car crash injury.

Paps' break may well have been cleaner. The force that broke it may have just directed the bone through the skin, but it doesn't necessarily mean it was all crushed up like JYY's. The main risk is technically the risk of infection (especially on a footy field), but it's entirely possible it's no worse than a normal break (which is still bad, but not automatically career-ending).

Man my reaction to the injury from Paps vs Coates was a lot different. Felt real bad for Paps but I feel guilty for how excited I was for Coates. Am I a bad guy? Sure. Am I happy to live with it? Yes.

On the contrary, I am really pleased with his defence, good read and nice speed which is what Oates lacking currently, even just 62m, I remember he caused at least one penalty and no errors?

Didn't really need those metres though. Cobbo, Staggs and Farnworth get us going well enough - as your stats show. Don't remember him making a mistake, came up big in defense a few times, his mobility out there is key in that area.

I love Corey.... butI I'd stick with Jesse.
