Broncos played a trial against the Raiders in Toowoomba in 2005. Hodges played fullback. I'm pretty sure they played trials up there a few years in a row.

Brisbane Broncos 26
(L Bott, D Stagg, T Carroll, G Eastwood, D Lockyer tries; D Lockyer 3 goals)

Canberra Raiders 20
(A Mogg, J Smith, K Kahler, C Schifcofske tries; C Schifcofske 2 goals)

Met Wayne Bennett at this one. One of the guys who used to frequent here was a family friend.

Paliasia and flegler (together with herbie) will be big outs for us next year but definetly not premiership-window ruining like all the "experts" keep saying. Hethrington is a bench specialist but damn he must be a shout for starting at prop the way he's playing lately. And Jensen has been killing it in qld cup from all reports, willison has shown he's upto it, and baker looks like a very likely top 17 player.
Would still like 1 more prop/middle with tapau a year older and willison being injury prone. I felt we were already 1 middle short this year but we managed well with injuries and using capewell in the middle. We won't be that lucky every year. Hopefully a big and aggressive mofo. We have the motors, our benches need to give impact.

Unfortunately they don't do trial matches anymore in Toowoomba last one was 2018. If you asked me which one is better the trial match or the actual match I would say the actual match

They've dropped the British football this year so after next weekend (I'll keep watching replays of Friday night) I'll be dropping Kayo for another year.
I have to say their commentary team is so biased against the Broncos. Even Sampson used to be a die-hard bronco, the producers have turned her and they're cutting off their nose to spite their face as we are one of, if not the biggest supporter base.

When will they learn?
I’ve already left. They can get fucked. They are biased c*nts, lead by Parker and his boyfriend Ennis. Expensive for shit content. No Bundesliga either. See ya Kayo, subscription cancelled.

Getting a little tired of all the media commentary around this game being about how the storm played poorly, rather than the Broncos didn’t allow them to play well. We bashed them out of that game.
It’s a hard time for the poor media. They love to see us not succeed. They’re in a frazzle as they know we are Penrith’s only challenger.
Friday night was next level from Parker. He legit didn’t say one thing positive about us. We kept them scoreless ffs.

I normally hate that but for once I actually love it. Storm were probably listening to the media. Yes panthers rightfully deserve to be favourites but we can't do anymore to show we are a 50/50 chance with them. We are the only team to have beaten every team this year. I hope the panfers underestimate us like the media continue too.

I don't think the Panthers will underestimate us, to be fair I think it's only the media and fans who are. Cleary himself has come out recently and acknowledged that we are a legitimate contender and who they fear the most. Bellyache has said throughout the season and reiterated again on Friday that it's us and Panthers and then daylight, along with a "I don't know if you guys believe me or not, but I've been saying it all year" lol.

It's just media beatup. I'm certain the other clubs are well aware.
