THE BOSS Maguire Stomped The Naysayers! But...8 Months Later, Here We Are.

Madge needs to be given full commitment from the whole organisation to do what needs doing. If that means offloading talent then so be it. Just like the Dogs gave Ciro.

There is a lot of entitlement in this squad and has been for a long period. If a players manager is saying that I bet it's due to being on the nose and potentially on the way out.

Rothfield has had a B in his bonnet for some reason since Madge got the job. I am sick of hearing about training to hard. Melbourne are notorious for hard offseasons and they buy in. If you can't hack the grind at training you can't do it for 80 on the weekend. These guys just want the energy for their performance around town after games.

It's time for this team to grow up and play for more than glamour and groupies.

Sits with pretty unique company making an NRL grand final within his first three years as a head coach. I can almost guarantee that Kevball has given the fanboys on this forum the best broncos memories in the last decade at least. He did a good job as coach and I rate the 2023 broncos as one of the most enjoyable footballs sides to watch in history.

His sacking highlights the incompetence of our board and CEO. First sacking wayne. What a mistake and now we are the tigers.
Actually I have zero memories of this lot, because one season they showed up and shit the bed when it counted.

My memories are of the premiership teams and the footy we played through the 90s and early 2000s. The footy and history these pretty boys are living off.

Alarm bells in that article is one of the players manager says he has feedback that the players are being overtrained. That sounds suspiciously like softies having a temper tantrum.

That's fine, we anticipated this somewhat when Madge was announced as coach, find out who they are and **** them off. Simple.

Memories or selective amnesia aside. The best you have felt watching a broncos side in the last 10 years was with Kev at the helm.

****'s sake, last year was by far the WORST I've ever felt watching a Broncos side and that includes Seibold's second season, and he didn't even last the year. And Kevvie's second season wasn't much better. He got cut slack in this first season.

So let's cut Madge some slack in HIS first season.

I was reading somewhere that before the Bulldogs game we had a pretty light week and only trained once (mainly due to the short turn around). We then turn up and destroy the best defensive team in the comp in the first half.

I'm assuming after that, we've gone back to normal training, which seems to have correlated with us looking gassed 2min into each game.

Now correlation doesn't equal causation, but maybe there is a point somewhere there.

Although I remeber complaints about Kevvie training them too hard as well.

Kev is a shit coach and even worse roster manager. Letting players go that shouldn't. 4 hookers in the squad, zero backrow depth or just someone even half decent in that position. Losing flegs, herbie and palasia and his answer is fletcher baker lmao.... complete joke.

He isn't solely to blame, but he contributed somewhat to our shitty roster balance.

If Kevie is to blame for letting go if players in 24, then he's equally responsible for building up that 23 team from a bunch of wooden spooners.

I thought he was brought in because we had a premiership winning team that wasn't winning the premiership? He was gonna bring us that hard edge that we were missing.

Now we've gone backwards, and have to wait a couple of years for another rebuild?

The last person i'd trust to comment on what happens at our club is Rothfield.

in this article he references his article from yesterday where he talked about how the team came down to Sydney a day earlier than normal for an evening on the luxury multi-million dollar cruiser Ghost I, owned by celebrity accountant Anthony Bell, who is a close friend of Madge ... Bell normally hires out the cruiser for $1,500 per hour.

So which is it Slothfield .... are they taking it too easy or training too hard?

We haven't gone backwards. He deserves the same grace we gave Kevvie and Pies. It's not his squad. He didn't even get to pick his own support staff.

I don't like that Buzz is already calling for his neck though. Once this shit starts it usually snowballs.

The only way to stop it is to win games. Which starts next weekend.

I'm happy to wait until we have our best 17 on the park together.
Walsh Mam and Hunt at 9 with Mozer.
We are only 10 games in after all.

Fingers crossed it all magically falls together once Mam is back.

Madge should put together a particularly grueling training session during the week. I'm talking like next level, designed intentionally to get under their skin and shake them up mentally. The players that are serious about being successful will assume it's just a predictable outcome after a bad loss and will get on with it, while the softer ones will sook it up, start whinging to their agents as was alluded to earlier and generally show piss poor body language and attitude in response.

They make themselves stand out, the coaches know exactly who the problem children are and dump them to reserve grade to either get their shit together or ask the club for a release.
