Probably kept Wayne at arms length for plausible deniability and then Wayne carried on in the media to shake the confidence out of Cobbo’s manager who was hoping for fullback money.

That 1mil a year people were once talking about is looking grim.

Literally every time Wayne comes out and says something like that about a player, they sign with his club a week later, lol

Sure....but, its not like the physical signs of him deteriorating aren't there to see? I don't see anything wrong with telling one of the training staff to put your fist up Selwyn's arse. He's your special case.

Maybe they did......and maybe this is the result of said trainer saying he's a waste of time. Dunno.

alternatively just pack it in and take up a position as a touchie, he certainly knows the sideline better than most

There’s no way they didn’t try. He showed up to round 1 the fittest he’s looked since his debut, then started to ballon back out. He can’t sustain the effort at this stage in his career

Cobbo is our best winger would love him to stay on as that. But I think Staggs needs to share some of his payday.. Staggs is wanting origin center money and that's not ok if it means losing cobbo as winger

In what world is Cobbo our best winger? Arthars is way more consistent than him and Karipani played better in one game than Cobbo has in ages.

It's not like he's suddenly lost speed at age 23/24 and needs to go inside. He looked like he'd lost weight early in the season and was fit. But for whatever reason he's been looking gassed and flat for the last month.

If he doesn't come back in the outside 5 this season have him as replacement for Carrigan at 13.

I think it would be absolutely unforgivable if the club got rid of him.
