Reece is an easy target after the errors he made tonight. When he’s not playing we complain we are playing bad because his not there and need him back , when he has a bad game some of you want him out of the team completely.
Agreed, there is an enigma of a poster here called H. Oshie…. no that’s too obvious, Ho. shie. Who simultaneously posts the most defensive posts about Walsh (rightly so) and the most unhinged doomsday posts about the team. I cannot keep up.

Walsh sucks during most games. But Walsh also stars during most games. We all would love the perfect fullback but they just don’t exist. Most consider Slater to be the best, I hated slater in origin for so long for the exact same reason most hate Walsh

Todd Smith has officially taken over Klein's mantle as the worst ref in sporting history.

Awarding the penalty them changing his mind to a six again when he realised we could level the scores was that play that tipped the scales.

But there was also two set restarts awarded to us in our own 40m zone, when the rule was changed at least two years ago that those are to be penalties.

If I was as bad at my job as Todd Smith is at his, I would not only be terminated and escorted out of the building, but I'd also likely have the AFP investigate me for corruption
Let's knock this on it's head too. The penalty was for off-side, it could only be a set restart and while it should have been called as such from the jump he didn't change his mind to 'troll' the Broncos.

Brisbane got their share of calls as well, none as obvious as when Carrigan got in the way of the pass and Todd was able to find an off-side to save the Broncos.

Brisbane were poor, had their chances and didn't take them.

Give our side to say Ciraldo, and we don't lose a match. With a roster like ours, Maguire should be winning every match. Maguire's coaching style is outdated, and ineffective .
Disagree. It’s our players. They are disinterested and mentally weak. Half of our team has been there for seibold, walters and now Madge and the issue is none of them have any footy brains or desire or grit.

Even look at all the players who have left our team over the past 5 or so years and the only two who have done any good really are Dearden and Herbie.

Players are signed to the broncos and then think they are superstars and get caught up doing other things and worrying about social media instead of trying to win footy games.

Most fullbacks wouldn’t have even been sniffing around on that last try. He set up line breaks and looked by far the most threatening with ball in hand. You can’t expect a high risk explosive player to nail it 100% of the time it’s really silly. We watch Walsh consistently put points on the board for us week after week and wins us our games 90% of the time, we were losing miserably when he was out with injury. So yes my standard is far more realistic then yours and I actually back our players.
I don’t expect a million dollar player to have the highest error count in rugby league either.

Our does and has done so for years.

Keep gobbling him if you want, but saying things like “ wins us our games 90% of the time” is just laughable when you are ignoring the other part to his game.

Games such as tonight when he is the most responsible for losing us the game, which happen far too regularly for someone with his hype and cost.

With big money comes big responsibility doesn’t it?

In 2023 we basically won the comp

Shibasaki needed to take a dive after his kick where Walsh was offside.
His chase through was way too passive, if he chases hard he runs Walsh onside.
If he takes a dive from the shoulder running through we get a penalty.

That is ALL on the coach. End of story

Let's knock this on the head ... The advantage of the set restart is quickly playing on...

If you call a penalty getting everyone to stop, then change your mind, you lose that advantage ... He ****ed up and it cost us.

He also ****ed up by "forgetting" that set restarts aren't given in a teams own 40m zone.

That was an anomaly because Reece came in and fully changed our attack and teams didn’t know what to do. Ezra also had a great season. Since then, all of our players have gotten worse. I actually don’t think a single player in our team has improved since then.

Reynolds has gotten older and slower, Carrigan and Haas don’t dominate other packs. We lost Herbie and kept Staggs which was stupid.

It sucks but I genuinely don’t see this generation of broncos players winning a comp. All they have done is lose and they don’t want to do the work to win. They say they want to and they work hard, but they just don’t compared to the good teams.

Apart from you know, not winning the minor or major premiership that year…

But sure. Why not? Since I am told it no longer matters how many errors Walsh makes, how many tries he lets in or, how many tries he screws up, why bother acknowledging the fact we lost that grand final either?

It's like calling for a review when the opposition has already conceded they haven't scored - it's not that big a deal and Brisbane still received the extra tackles which is the real benefit. They failed to take advantage.

I'm not aware of the incident you're talking about.

Absolutely wasnt the only one, so harsh to single him out, but Arthars especially pissed me off tonight.

He walked back into his spot that Mariner had done well in, Mariner was in good cup form too, and thats how Jesse decides to repay the faith.

Again, far from the only one, but after strolling back into his spot that he wasnt even doing that well in pre-injury and play like that, is shit.
