I'm fearing the worst. Our owners seem to be wanting to replace quality players on the cheap. They arent really backing Vitor with what he needs. We have dodged relegation for a couple of years now, this is the year our luck runs out. We look toothless.

No, it was never going to happen because you don't have UCL or any trophy ambition.
World class players have zero interest in United atm.

Just finished watching our game again, because as with a few 1:30AM start time, unexciting games I was drifting in and out of sleep, and it didn't get any better than I remembered it.
Sesko not starting is baffling, yes he didn't have a pre season at United, but he had a pre season in Germany. It's not like he isn't fit. He just needs to start. What's the point of of playing this formation with a false 9, the wide players have nobody to cross to, and nobody is getting in the box..
Secondly, I love Bruno, think he is our best player and has been for years, but if the intention was to not play him as a 10, clearly his best position, I have no idea why you dont let him go to Saudi and cash out. He is not going to work as a CM long term at all, especially when we are now not using Mainoo at all as he is competing with Bruno for mins.
I think Mount has actually been ok to start the season, but we've now got too many 10s, which is just so stupid. Playing Mount and Bruno as a midfield 2 for any amount of time, leading an away game 1-0 in the premier league is just asking for trouble. That should have changed the second the game became 1-0.
Our first 15mins, was great. Missing the goal as is the problem with United last few seasons, hit the post, miss okay chances (Cunha) etc. But that just stopped after 15mins and didn't return. Didnt deserve to win regardless of the missed penalty. It was garbage.
We now have a bucket full of 10s, and huge hole at GK and CM that could have been filled by selling Bruno. You're now in desperation mode for many needed outgoings and still a couple incomings.
Sucks, just feel like any good will from last week's game has just evaporated after today. It just feels like yet again that United the club is playing through pre International break like its pre season. Leaving transfers last minute, not settled on players, its crazy.

Can't just bin another manager, that's the problem. Midfield is shit, GK is shit. Really don't know where to go. Bring Southgate in and he will want his own players too obviously.
The clubs actually broken. Midfield wide open, was mentioned all pre-season by Amorim as a problem, 4 days out, still no midfielder purchased, but got in two 10's, a position we already had a few in. Yes you might want better, but fill the worst positions first. Onana, I don't think I've actually seen a worse gk, or a worse collection of gk at a top flight club in some time.
We've still got, 4 days out from window closing, Hojlund, Garnacho, Sancho and Antony currently sitting as United players. Like wtf are they doing? You aren't going to get anyone pay full freight, take what you can get and hope they perform well on loan, or sell for what you can get. The longer it draws out the clubs know you're desperate...
I also don't think INEOS will get rid of him anyways as its actually on them then. He is the guy they chose. Some of his tactical stuff has been a huge problem though, for sure, but at this point I think you've gotta see out at least this season now.
