On the bright side, couldn't have played any worse. The only way is up. Melbourne are also one of the best exponents of beating teams through the ruck. They're only going to be more dangerous with Clarke there - very impressive debut from the big man.

Thought Clarke was exceptional on debut; his body shape and just big kid style reminds me of early Webcke a bit.

Which is why they don't give you these stats.
Because even if the count is close, 1 team only getting them on the 30m line coming out of trouble on 1st tackle, vs a team getting them on 4th/5th on the attack is worlds apart.

Yep as they say once you have 50 put on you you can't win the comp.
That's what I thought minus Coates and Eli they'd have to defend and grind 1980's wins.
