Apparently at the start of last year, he was going to be in the squad, but got injured a few weeks before RND 1 and was out for most of the season.

And his tackle efficiency in QCUP games after injury is under 90%. Last thing we need is a starting hooker missing tackles. Paix doesn't miss a lot of tackles per game. Just his size doesn't help stop them. More like a speed bump until the other forwards come in. So that is why I assume he is starting over Mozer.

Problem with Paix though is what we may gain in defence we most definitely lose in attack. Mozer has a good passing game with great deception. Paix has neither of those.

I think the Hunt impact experiment is a fail.
He needs to either be the starting 9 with Mozer on the bench or the starting 7

Ideally he does the SOO role for 25-30 then we get someone on who has quick service, speed and footwork. Hunt and/or Paix offer no such quality and we look like quicksand in yardage. Defences can pick off the lead runner and opposition markers are never left second guessing.

Also the critics suggesting we aren't able to defend, just look at the back end of 2025.
The Rd 27 game vs Storm was another level, plus lets not forget holding Penrith to 14 in the prelim (day game) and resisting 5 x straight sets on our line deep in the 2nd half.
This team is resilient and capable.
We will get it back and still be a force in 26

Prefered changes would be:
1. Piaks in. Jetski can spend the season in Q culture after his HIA.
2. Reynolds needs a rest. Hunt to 7.
3. Mozer at 14 to come on after 30min
4. Shiba can go join his brother in Q Cup. Don't care if his the australian centre, he ain't defending like it. Grant to left centre or swap with Mariner.
On a side note, why can't we recruit backrowers like warriors, cowboys or Eels? They seem to have powerful and fit Backrowers compared to us.

Seems like he'll definitely be playing. Looks fine on the uncomfortable fox league panel stools in Sydney and he's wearing a horrifically tight suit

Maybe he's been needled up for this but if he had any damage he wouldn't be able to sit there
