I get all assistants were bought to the club by Kev, maybe it’s a case of Madge wants to bring his own staff in?
Madge has praised Barrett several times.

Things have gone to shit since Smith turned up, just saying…I just posted it in another thread it was being talked about but wonder if they could convince Cam Smith to take it. We already know he is the king of the wrestle and slowing the ruck. Obviously far more than goes into a defensive plan, but it's a great starting point to help the rest of the line get set.
Thorn would be cool, but obviously a bit older and not sure exactly what his current role is.
The whole narrative around Madge burning out players has been around for years. However the one person who legitimised it was Ben Te'o in a 2023 interview he gave on the James Graham podcast. He was really critical of Maguire's methods of a coach, so when Madge was hired it always seemed like a matter of time.

TBH warriors would be crazy to let Barnett walk now. They’re humming along nicely. Still not convinced that Anderson would be open to the swap deal anyway. Seems he has a good relationship with the playing group. Not easy to pack your life up and move to another country after only just relocating to another state. Here's my tin foil hat theory and I think it could be quietly unfolding between a Barnett + Andersen mid season swap.
Webster has been told to focus on their long-term roster and has kept Barnett on the bench in favour of Jackson Ford. They are angling to get him agitated for an early release.
Madge is starting Anderson now to put him in the spotlight and if he continues to impress, will make it more desirable for the Wahs to get him now.
Dominoes are in place for an early release and swap deal IMO.
He will be on pretty good coin. Would we have the cap space to take him early? Here's my tin foil hat theory and I think it could be quietly unfolding between a Barnett + Andersen mid season swap.

That's because Ford is the form front rower in the comp. He is 4th in all run meters, the top 3 are all fullbacks and 5th is a winger. He's leading post contact meters, by a lot. Here's my tin foil hat theory and I think it could be quietly unfolding between a Barnett + Andersen mid season swap.

I know the win last friday just confirmed what we already know, that we have the best 2nr rowers in the comp...
But Jaydn Sua is off contract end of the year. And his numbers this year have been pretty good. Granted i have watched about 5 minutes of dragons game this year so stats is all im going off. Blokes 28. Queenslander , ex bronco, IRC we moved him on because we had Fifita and had to chose.
Thoughts?
GUARANTEE you he goes and plays rugby union for a 3 year deal in the next World Cup cycle over in the UK Premiership. Nathan is a loyal guy but he has also said unrelentingly his entire last contract that he doesn’t want to live with regrets and is open to absolutely anything, mainly union.Cant remember where I saw it but people were talking about Patty and comments about PNG, etc.
Below quotes from Cleary, but do people actually think Cleary is going to leave the Panthers... players get told by their managers to leave things open even if they have zero desire to leave.

Sort of bloke I can definitely see wanting to win a comp elsewhere as well. Whether that was going to a prestigious club like Brisbane or Roosters, whether that would be a more emotional connection like the Warriors, or a start up or slumsville turn around type of gig at PNG, Perth or a GC lifestyle change.
I for one would not in the slightest be surprised if Nathan was to broaden his horizons and experiences. He has played at Penrith for a decade now and has played in 5 grand finals and won 4 comps.
His dad is the coach at Penrith, he is aware that he can’t milk anything out of that club more than he is on. He will be paid fairly but in a manner that keeps Penrith competitive. If he goes to the market it’s because of genuine interest in seeing what’s out there exists not him trying to bump his asking price up.
