Our affected games are against souths (Sydney) and sharks (Suncorp).

Well I did say highly likely, but they went with Hammer last year and may go that way purely because he's better under the high ball.

Reece is still far too susceptible under the high ball for me, and that can be a killer at origin level.

I think at worst he'll be on the bench though, given the 6 man bench.

I am 100% that even if the MRC was all Broncos you would complain. Madge and Donaghy are on the coaching and CEO committee, and you complain about that.

The big thing this year is they've extended the bench to 6 and there is still an extra man, so that will be 20 players per team (excluding the extra squad players that stay during the week), which means 40 starters are being removed from the competition.

When injuries are factored in that will be a lot of players missing during the origin period and teams will be seriously stretched.

Origin will have to be standalone soon, because the above is just insanely disruptive.

To be honest the NRL should make it mandatory that the 20th man in origin (i.e. the guy that is just there as HIA cover) should have to come from a team on the bye.

Highly unlikely they will play and even if they get on due to foul play or whatever there are still 2 other guys on the bench that you picked before that 20th man.

I would be having mariner as a smokey. He has really improved his yardage and can finish. He would not look out of place in the QLD jersey.

Granted i dont watch as much footy these days so not familiar with how the incumbant wingers are going.

Mariner would likely be in the Qld team if he was eligible.

Trying to think who we used last year and last couple years, but Cobbo has fallen off a cliff, Gagai is out, Val dropped out of the team last year, Murray is probably making the team this year, but I think he's been in and out?

Coates is injured until round 12 (I think), so he probably misses game 1 (2 weeks after he returns), but likely there for 2 and 3 (pending how he returns).

Backline probably looking like the below, but I'm sure I've missed someone:
1. Walsh
2. Murray Taulagi
3. Toia
4. Hammer
5. Coates (someone else for Game 1)

So its got no broncos on it then would be the answer instead of deflecting lol.

And I wasnt aware of madge being on the panel, guessing he requested it, which is smart given the recent rule changes happening so fast.

Maybe they could get every player since 1998 to be on the panel, all 3500 could get together and watch every game then no one isn't represented.

That makes no sense, he was on the panel that took the rules changes to the ARLC. He knew exactly what the plan was going to be.

Or they could just have 17 people on the committee? Or rotate the members? Or not have 2 from the same club? Just some thoughts.
