Q-CUP 2026 Queensland Cup Discussion

Hoeter puts Coates over.
After nearly botching it. Had the overlap and decided to take on the defence, did well to get the pass away.

Otherwise it's what you've come to expect from Hoeter. Very physical and doesn't shy away from a contest. He came up with a big play to dive on the loose ball off a goal line drop out denying the Cutters a rare opportunity in the second half.

I thought Francis and Coates ran well. Only blemish with Francis' game was that offload he pegged at Mozer. He fought so hard to get that arm free that he couldn't help himself.

I think Hoeter will be excellent for Coates, I noticed Hoeter sent him in to take a hit up in the first half.

They both ran strongly yesterday two tries, 27 hit ups, 337m combined- that's a weapon of a combination out there and the intangible advice and focus Hoeter will provide which Coates still needs.

Francis enthusiasm was much better, as soon as he got on and he was jumping around and didn't give away a penalty, sometimes he's good for a penalty within a minute of getting on.

Kingston Seve released by Knights. Knights only asked for an exemption for him to NRL train at 16 last year and now released six months into a four-year deal after scoring two tries in the State Final last week.

Doesn't seem odd at all.

CM Saying Homesick lol

It's an easy dot to connect.

Brisbane reportedly release Baxter Best from his deal.

Kingston Seve is released prior to his deal.

I didn't even realise the Dolphins had let him go. He was one of their top prospects when I was following their initial years. Is there a story there? Seems like it has Parr's fingerprints all over it.

Verhoeven back from injury.

His form has really mirrored Wynnum, 9 games of ok Cup.

Dolphins NRLQ 28 def. Broncos NRLQ 18
Redcliffe 28 def. Sunshine Coast 14
Norths 20 def. Northern 14
Central Queensland 54 def. Tweed Heads 24

A good Saturday for the Peninsula.

In a couple of hours we have WM Seagulls in action against the high flying Jets. It's an important game for the Seagulls who just dropped out of the 8 following the Capras big win over night.

This is the type of game I'd like to see Bukowski step up. Seagulls need to force the game into the grind and use their forwards to put the Jets off. If they can win the territory and win the physical contest they could give themselves a chance.

Any word on what's happening with Ben Farr @1910? Hasn't played in six weeks, they've really missed his presence on the field.
