2018 NRL Side

How long will Kodi be given ?
4 weeks , 8 weeks ?

Its only a matter of time before he shits the bed
Just look at the storm game.

I know we give Milf shit ( some warranted ) but take into account he could have decided to have surgery right after his injury , but continued to play and could have cost us a spot in the top 4.

Who is there in the side that can come in ?

I really would be talking to Nathan Cleary , give him what he wants tbh.
He is going to be a Star it isnt funny.

This allows him to take over GK and kahu moves to centre and takes his game to the next level.

We don't have any chance of getting Cleary. I am backing us to develop our next superstar halfback.

I think Kodi will get until Bird is fit along with whoever gets the first shot at left center. If Kodi is playing poorly, and our center isnt, i see Kodi making way for Bird, if its the center playing poorly they will make way.

Sam Thaidays latest instagram posts don't fill me with much confidence in his attitude for next season.

what were the posts?

Posts about how grueling the training sessions have been and how much he is looking forward to the holidays..

Which is something a lot of players do. I don't see the issue. No one likes the pre-season sessions.

He looks heavier than usual to me. And not bulking heavy but holiday mode heavy.

Sam just being Sam. It is up to him how he is remembered. He can go down with a great final year with a premiership or as a fat lazy dunce who through the towel in years ago.

What our our current halfback depths? We dont get much news of this down in Sydney.

BRISBANE BRONCOS
Gains: Jack Bird (Sharks), Andre Savelio (Warrington), Troy Dargan (Eels), Patrick Mago (Cowboys), Myles Taueli (Redcliffe), Jake Turpin (Storm), Matt Lodge (Redcliffe), Sam Tagataese (Sharks)
Losses: Jai Arrow (Titans), Adam Blair (Warriors), Herman Ese’ese (Knights), Ben Hunt (Dragons), Matiu Love-Henry (Warriors), Benji Marshall (Tigers), Tautau Moga (Knights), David Mead (Catalans)

Key buy: Matt Lodge. Signing a deal for minimum wage, the prop could end up being the buy of the season. Expected to start in the front row as Adam Blair’s replacement, the 22-year-old destroyed the Queensland Cup. Despite his past, the Broncos know he has plenty of good footy in him and will turn plenty of heads under Wayne Bennett’s tutelage next season.
The pressure: Jack Bird. With a big price tag, comes big expectations. There’s no doubt he’ll handle that pressure but how often will he handle the ball? It appears he’ll be used in the centres to start the season but the game has evolved to state where you cannot justify paying a centre massive money. Bird’s deal is reportedly worth $900,000 a season so it’ll be interesting to see if he sees out the season in that role or shifts to lock or five-eighth as the season rolls on.

Analysis: Even with the recent release of classy back David Mead, the Broncos have plenty of talent in the backline to cover his departure. It’s a strong roster with some smart buys. The addition of Myles Taueli and Patrick Mago will be handy as the year goes on. While most punters won’t be familiar with those names, these guys have plenty of upside to their game. Taueli is a former Shark who spent last season with Redcliffe and knocking on the door for an NRL start, while Mago made his NRL debut with the Cowboys and can play middle or edge. Keep an eye out for Payne Haas. The teenager man mountain made his 20s opposition look like Schoolboys. He’s likely to get a look in around Origin time.

Jack bird is making 900k

Could Wayne be interested in former Bronco Kurt Baptiest as a backup hooker. Recently released by Raiders - goes alright - only 26.
