Buddy if I were you, I'd be more concerned about facing the Storm this weekend than worrying about us. On current form, you blokes are gonna get absolutely flogged. And yes, we know all about floggings here so am more than qualified to speak on the matter.
Just compare him mate to what we had this year (i.e. Ben Cross). Carty is a hell of an improvement on him. He has a lot of coaching experience and of course was part of the Cowboys success in 2015. He has a 46 per cent win rate in just under 200 games as an NRL head coach, which is pretty...
Would love to see it mate, but he's done his dash with me. Had too many opportunities to regain what he showed in 2015, but for whatever reason, it wasn't to be. Just seemed to me that he couldn't give a flying **** and only pulls his finger out in the year when his contract is ready to be...
Billy certainly plays with a lot of heart and effort, and put in a couple of great games for the TigPies in 2020. I have my doubts though he has the class to be a permanent 5/8. I see him more as a hooker, where he mainly played this year.
Taylor is much maligned, no doubt. With good reason too might I add. His past few years have been underwhelming, considering the unlimited potential he looked to have when he first burst on the scene. In saying that though, a coach like Kev would be someone I think Ash would thrive under.
Keep...
I watch most Titans games and to be honest, Taylor has had a pretty great year in comparison to the past few seasons. He has really excelled with having Fogarty taking a lot of the game management pressure off his shoulders. Plus I think Holbrook has somewhat helped unlock the key to his talent.
Just confirmed by the QRL that Karl Morris has agreed for Kevvie to "have input" into the Maroons team up to the end of October only. He will apparently be involved with the team while they are based in Qld before going across to Adelaide.
QRL Chair Bruce Hatcher said the extent of Kev's...
I know right! Also, just watching some of those Broncos plays/tries is enough to make you weep in the context of what we have become over recent years.
Oh boy would love to sign Stephen Crichton. Penrith will want to hold onto him at all costs but may struggle due to salary cap/rising stars in that side.
A few glorious moments in this highlights package. As well as being a genius attacking-wise, Wally was also a brutal defender (complete opposite of Locky there to be honest)
He just had it all.
Yeah I think that would be correct.
Does anyone know who was in charge of our recruitment in 2013? Nolan by any chance? Storm (Paul Bunn) snapped Cam up when we told him to get lost. Plenty of other scouts saw the potential. Us? Of course not. You really couldn't make this shit up.
Sounds good to me. There can't be that many assistants who haven't already been snapped up can there? Only Henry, Cartwright, maybe Jason Taylor, Hagan, can't think of too many more left. Kev can't just be relying on Parker and Hodges. Sure, bring them on board too, but we need those seasoned...
Sorry to all the Locky fans, of which I am one, but absolutely no doubt in my mind Lockyer doesn't come close to Lewis. If you think Locky could ice a game, Wally was on another level. Just my opinion, but yeah, they don't make 5/8s like Lewis anymore. Just check out most origin games from the...
Oh that brings back the memories. Yep can still remember sitting in the old stands at Lang Park on a freezing Wednesday SoO night in June watching those 30 metre long spiral passes of Wally's. I know many say CS9 and Johns are the greatest ever, but to my mind, Wally is the best there ever was...
Haha you are right, Maloney is a highly annoying, and at times, grubby person on the field. I guess out of desperation more than anything, I sorta hope we could get him on board though. Just that competitive and 'win at all costs' attitude he brings would be a breath of fresh air compared to...
