We've got one against Manly on the Mothers' Day weekend at Suncorp.

Was the Manly game last year on Mother's Day also? eusa_think I went to the Manly game and if I recall I ditched the old lady, who hates footy with the fire of a thousand suns... [icon_shady

Yep, I had to choose between the Manly game, Oztag training for the Queensland team, or staying home and keeping the missus happy.

I chose option b and dealt with a huge argument that night! LOLZ

I see we have more and more Friday night games vs Titans then the Dogs and finally the Warriors, for now. And then the first Sunday game they out it on Mothers day

This is getting ridiculous !!!!!

They were talking about scheduling on the Footy Show or The Roast (one of them) on Sunday and were basically saying that in Sydney they get even worse crowds than usual on a Friday night, whereas in Brisbane they still get really really good crowds to Friday night games; so they are unlikely to change it any time soon.

And yes I know that Ch 9 decides the time slots, but it probably comes into their reasoning as well - looks better on TV if there is a bigger crowd.

I could go the weekend before against the Warriors, but i'd have to fly home at 6am on the Saturday for sport, so yeh not real keen on that. :mrgreen:

Friday night - 17th. Will be a double header. Broncos-Souths 6.30; Bulldogs-Titans 8.30. Not 100% sure if tickets cover both matches, but I think they will have to - will be a logistical nightmare to clear out one crowd to get the next one in between matches.
