Not sure what you would trade Manning for. Oakland have already given up their 1st, 2nd, 3rd, 4th and 7th round picks next draft!

Given what seems to be on offer for Luck though, I think I'd trade him too. I've heard two years worth of picks. Not 1st rounders, but the full 7 picks each year for 2 years. That's a King's ransom. Colts clearly have lots of needs and if you traded you could still probably get someone like Landry Jones to learn under Peyton whilst still getting a lot of good young talent.

Manning is 36 next year and coming off a major injury. I wouldn't be prepared to gamble that.

I'd rather cut ties with Manning, grab Luck and a couple of other positions with the picks received for Manning and start fresh.

Manning has a few years left in him. Colts should get Luck, keep him as a backup as with Favre and Rodgers.

If Luck does enough as a backup then there is no reason he can't be traded for if he gets too antsy under Manning.
