Ryan ten Doeschate is a good batsmen. He averages a tick under 47 in list A if my ICC game is correct.

I'm pretty sure I remember reading that he currently has the highest ODI average of any player over 20 matches or so. That is slightly skewed though given he plays for the Netherlands. Plays/played for Essex in County.

Bowls a bit too.

The dutch have a fair few decent batsmen, they just need a few bowlers, shame they couldn't get Nannes for the world cup.

He played for Tassie in the Big Bash and was thoroughly unimpressive throughout so I was surprised to see him do well last night

Oh really?

I didn't watch the Big Bash, so I wouldn't know. Good to see the Netherlands give it a good go.

Aussies have the kiwis 5/69 at the moment...

And typical of a Ricky Ponting captained side, they can't mop up the tail. 8/195. Still a below par score I know but they shouldn't have gotten this far.

Yeah Punter had the field way too defensive. Complete clown.

You mean Harry Potter, funny how Johnson already has 8 wickets for the world cup....

If there's one thing we've learned from Johnson over the years, it's that he won't keep that form up for the whole tournament.

Not too bad then. I'm predicting a solid 30 from haddin followed by a brain explosion. Sunshine to score the bulk.

What's the pitch like?

it is a road, Kiwis threw there wickets away.

Does a win today pretty secure our spot for the next round?

probably, but I don't want to lose a match.

New Zealand are crumbling against the Australian plate... Too soon?
